I've been having some luck climbing the ladder this season with a Black Panther/Zola deck. It looks like I'm losing so it's easy to get double snaps in before turn 6.

Can get shut down pretty easily by Cosmo/Armor/Shang Chi though

I faced someone who snapped Turn 1 and he just barely ended up losing. Some of the matches though just give you the worst locations to work with. One trolled me by saying if you fill the location first you get a 0 cost 6 card, but the one it randomly gave me could only be played in the lane that was filled to get the card to begin with :(

Zabu has re-ignited my interest in Marvel Snap lol. Im only in Tier 2, but Ive been using this Zabu I found on YouTube to super great success

Yeah some people just instantly Snap I guess because they prefer higher stakes on the match? Its a pretty poor intimidation tactic. I dont get it.

One nice thing about The Raft is that you can play Carnage as your fourth card, and you will still get the reward before Carnage eats the rest. Then youre free to play more stuff there.

but yeah getting Giganto when The Raft is on the left is almost a meme, its happened to everybody at some point

I didnt unlock Carnage til after that match. Im basically out of credits now so getting new cards is gonna slow down a lot I guess.

Yeah Credits are the bottleneck. Just try to do all the missions you can. They drop 2 of them at 6AM, 2PM, and 10PM Eastern, along with 50 free Credits in the store at 10PM.

Who is your guys MVP?

Spidey honestly does the most work for me. I always play him on the second to last turn and he almost always pulls through for me.

So far probably Iron Man or Hulk, but my card count is a lot lower than most here since I just started yesterday. Im not even sure what the best deck I can make at the moment is.

Iron Man is definitely my MVP. He puts in huge work in a lot of decks. My main two successful decks are my Omega Red passive deck and my Mr Negative deck and Iron Man pretty much wins the game when I draw him with either deck.

Onslaught + Iron Man being a 28 power lane on their own and the Onslaught + Omega Red + Iron Man lane (The Iron Curtain) auto winning a lane and giving me 8 in the other 2, and of course 5 power 0 cost Iron Man are gamechangers.

Honorable mention to Psylocke who lets me play Mr Negative Turn 3 when I draw her or Xavier turn 4 to ambush lockdown a lane.

Im playing a Zabu deck, so obviously he rules, but shoutouts to that Moon Girl + Devil Dino

My MVP is Cosmo. So many retreats

Cosmo seems neat, but I dont have him. Definitely lost to a few of them before though

Nerfing Nova from 1/2 to 1/1 is so funny. Sure there are games when he doesn't get destroyed but it's probably 1/100 for me.

Cant wait to get Black Cat from Agent 13 still and hate it

think Leader is still giga broken even with the nerf

I like how they "buffed" Nakia and removed the only use case I've found for her (she has decent use in a Mr Negative Deck that uses Silver Surfer-- at 2 cost she's no longer interesting there)

To me it's somewhat significant as having initiative makes it less likely that Cosmo or Armor or whatever else will interrupt you on a Nova Kill. Nova being 1 power makes it less likely you'd have initiative and means you're more likely to be stopped when trying to kill Nova.

Keep in mind I don't think Nova is overpowered with 2 power so just a small nerf to his numbers could bring him in line.

Well they did say this was a temporary nerf until they could implement something better.

But the nerf priorities are still a bit strange to me.

Interesting that Black Cat is barely used; I see her in most of the Discard decks I come across.

Maybe just not a lot of people play that archetype

I feel like leader should be something like

On Reveal: Copy opponent's cards played at this location this turn on your side.
Or
On Reveal: Copy opponent's cards played at other locations this turn on your side.
Or
On Reveal: Copy opponent's cards played at all locations this turn to this location on your side.

I feel like he's less oppressive with any sort of change like that. Just changing the power isn't really going to make it any different though.

Sometimes I feel like I win by complete dumb luck. This match had your first card cant be played here and another one where nothing can be played here turn 6. I won just because Mr. Fantastic gave +2 to the area where you cant play your first card and my opponent was unable to play anything there. Final turn neither of us could even play a card lol

Discard definitely doesn't see much play because it's too inconsistent and the best discard decks require a significant number of series 3 cards that people may not have the full collection of yet

Whoa the patch notes say that Widow's Bite not preventing card draws when Attilan activates is a bug. So once that gets fixed, if you want to win a free cube, play Black Widow on turn 3 if Attilan is around

Although I guess Nova + Winter Soldier is 2 power. So you could drop an Iceman in that lane and then play something in another lane on turn 2 and still have priority. Then on turn 3 you'd still have priority without committing 2 cards to the destroy lane.

But playing Armor in the destroy lane on turn 2 is probably more mana efficient in most cases anyway so IDK.

Im liking Morph even though he can be a gamble. His card art is great too

Cosmo turn 3 to counter Carnage in the lane is more reliable now

Also Armor drawn turn 3.

It does matter even if yes Armor turn 2 isn't affected and is the best counter.

Thats not luck if you planned it that way!

Remember that moving a card is not the same as playing a card, so for example if you have Nightcrawler, you can play him in an open location and then move him into the closed location.

I didnt plan it. Ive just started using my Nightcrawler since I figured Id at least use what little credits I get to upgrade some of these other cards I have. Hes the only card Ive encountered that can move itself so far

It's the only one that can move by itself that you'll see for a while, but you'll see some that can force others to move soon enough.

Yeah thats why I used him as an example, because hes the first one, but there are others.

The most efficient way to upgrade your Collector Level (and get more cards) is to get the first upgrade (FRAME BREAK) for every card you get. After that its equally efficient to just upgrade as you want.

Well theres literally only one use case for her, in Discard decks. Shed be bad to have in ANY other deck.

I wonder why they had to reduce the appearance of Warrior Falls? Its a fun strategic twist IMO.

And even then, why would I want to pollute my discard pile with her if I can discard stronger cards like Red Skull or any other powerful 6 cost?

Well maybe you dont have Red Skull or Death yet like me <_<

Well the benefit of Black Cat is that you don't need to play anything to discard her, she just poofs. It's basically a "free" card with Hela and you're not typically limited on board space in that deck style.

Aww, Galactus is getting nerfed. And I was enjoying my deck...

1 less power is maybe secretly a buff because you'll have initiate going into the final turn less often so you can't have your big cards killed by Shang-Chi.

Excited for all these cool cards its gonna take forever for me to get :(

The beauty of this game is that over the same amount of time, everyone will get the same chance of getting any cards they want. Just keep playing!

You know what I don't like? No one emotes!! I feel like whenever I emote, like only 5% of the time does someone respond.

playing the same cards 2 turns in a row and both players spiderman point emoting is definitely the best thing that can happen in a game

You can emote? Game didnt teach me it so maybe most people dont know you can

Yeah you can do some by tapping your profile pic and you can also emote on specific cards that get played by tapping them and going to the emoji menu in the bottom right corner
