1.112 Mistakes IGCD's flavor claim (a lot of people did!) and votes IGCD for supposed inconsistency. This is where I previously mentioned it looked like Plum was purposely separating himself from IGCD, though that conditional read was also based on my thinking IGCD was announcing his role because he was non-Xenoblade, so that may not be valid anymore.

I don't think there's anything inherently scummy in these posts from Plum. My personal read at this time was that Plum was likely town.

I think Plum's initial thoughts were okay and good contributions. But then it seems like Plum backed off because he thought the setup might include something like a cult? I don't know if it's the bodyguard comparison like Lopen was saying, but I do think it's a bit weird for Plum to back off in this manner. It definitely does read like Plum saw that people were getting off the JC train, and jumped off when got the chance.

Plum vs IGCD
2.139 Plum upset that IGCD shot Death with no reason other than Corrik. Thinks Lopen is town because he doesn't agree with his arguments. This is after Lopen's analysis of Plum's reaction to JC's claim.
2.153 Continued posts being upset with IGCD because Why should I waste my time when people are just going to ruin games?

I personally feel like this is a complete non-tell. I think people jumping on Plum for this interaction specifically are being bad.

Plum seems to be missing the point that he's not being accused of getting off of the JC vote randomly. He's being accused of getting off of the JC vote for a bad reason. We don't need to do crazy WIFOM to understand why a scum Plum would get off the train. We can just evaluate why Plum thought either the flavor, the bodyguard analogy, or the possibility of a cult was enough to convince him that the claim was real all of the sudden. I think Plum's defense of the JC stuff post-IGCD frustration has been total dog. I was fine with Plum until the defense around 2.245 started. But now looking back at the way he brought back his JC vote in combination with the way he's defended himself has brought me on to the Scum Plum train. Still have my vote on HB for the moment as I evaluate some things.

Turns out I ended up agreeing with Lopen after-all. Who woulda thunk?

The talk about cults does remind me that the bad guys do recruit one character into their ranks after she dies.
Not that I think its super likely such a mechanic exists in-game, I am just listing of maybe useful factoids in the event I do die tonight.

SBell thought Plum looked bad for the JC vote in the first place, before getting to the retraction. I don't think Plum had done anything too weird at that point, so not sure how I feel on SBell.

That's fair. I agree that putting out crap reads because you feel like you need to have reads is not a good use of time. But there's the crux of it for me - why does chang have no opinions on who is scum? Isn't that the entire point of having a day phase? How do you go through so many hundreds of posts with no suspicions to speak of? If you think that that is not scummy then that's your prerogative, but I find it extremely suspect when you're here but... not doing any hunting.

He says he has an easier time finding town and narrowing it down from there. But I haven't seen him doing much of that either!

You're right that two town can be on someone and it means nothing for who they're on. I was frustrated that chang had so little to give and that was an example that i thought of. But in retrospect, two town people being on someone could mean any host of things.

I was goading because I've been trying to get reactions even if it's at my expense.

This guy suspects you and chooses not to give you any pressure because there's ... no votes left on you. No shit that's exactly why it's suspicious. That's exactly when you need to put the legwork in.

It felt more like lipservice "well uh guys for the record I suspect this guy!" more than actual legitimate suspicion.

My main problem I'm sorting through right now is that I was developing a theory that scum was guiding HB to vote for Plum, which is why HB had one of his only legitimate opinions about the Plum vs IGCD interaction. Then Red also comes in and talks about he doesn't like that interaction. So I had a crackpot theory in my head of a HB/Red scum duo being involved in a scum play to lead the lynch toward Plum. But now that I'm leaning toward Plum being scum, that completely falls apart unless Plum has truly given up and told his scum mates to bus him so he can be out of the game. Maybe leaning more toward a Plum lynch and giving HB another day to post.

I would like Plum to come back and clarify his stance on why he unvoted JC without going into WIFOM bullcrap. If Plum actually doesn't come back and his last post was the Han frustration vote, that will be very annoying.

I think you're talking yourself into conditionals that are impossible to know at this point in time and are better suited to mid-game analysis.

I think my thoughts on him have been fairly clear though! He hasn't been scummy.

Plums strict logic is never sound which leads to him thinking he has glorious revelations that are actually completely nonsensical without the initial premise.

No reason to narrow it that much when so few votes are actually on the board. I'm sure Peaf would be more than happy to swing back to Chang if you thought that was a more attractive vote. There's always the option to B8 special as well if people don't like the current options. Though if you are strongly against the current choices, I strongly suggest you make those claims now rather than saving it for the last twenty minutes.
