Lopens miller claim, i remember when i initially read it. I put zero stock into it then. I noted his can't be blocked / no power anyway as well. I took all of that in and said "ok, whatever". I didn't believe it to be true then, I dont know if i'm supposed to now believe more of it, or maybe i'm wrong and its all true however I do not see how a miller claim renders lopens opinions as invalid and I think thats the big question here.

Why do you see the miller claim as a red flag? is it that all millers are liars? who hurt you?

If you've caught up with Page 2, then you've seen most of our conversation. My contention with Lopen was that I didn't really like his Topic 1 reads and brought up examples like Ulti. You have thus far basically said all your opinions have lined up with Lopen so far. Even after reading, do you agree with those Topic 1 opinions? That Ulti had a scummy play and Lopen was right for jumping on him? I asked you for clarification at the top of page 10 on Topic 1, but you may have missed that. But I referenced it again in Topic 2 and you didn't respond to it again there.
I'll have to reread some of your posts on your opinions on things like Plum. But basically what I'm getting at is if I don't like Lopen's topic 1 opinions, and your opinions all line up with his, then I don't particularly like yours either. I wanted to know if any of that had changed after reading our exchange.

Plum and 5tarscream are the only two high confidence scum for me right now and I think the other names being thrown around are bad choices

In particular because I feel he's been caught whereas the case on 5tarscream is more nebulous

Oh it absolutely was. My vote on him started as a joke based off of what jc said.

I didn't really begin to suspect him more until towards the end of t1, iirc

here are some probably not-actually-useful thoughts

1. Sultan - probably town, seems like standard sultan. asking decent questions that are genuinely inquisitive.
2. Han - i still haven't learned how to read han. NULL
3. Peaf - hasn't been as bad the last few pages, and him pointing out plum's lack of visible logic was a good callout, but still think scum overall. the chang push feels like a forced narrative to me.
4. Edumey - town
5. Chaeix - DOOMED
6. Death - unsure, let's wait until day 2
7. Ulti - outside of the understanding with Sultan, nothing really to work with, unsure.
8. Lopen - probably scum, something about lopen's demeanor seems artificial and he's been coming up with all kinds of game states every single time a new variable is introduced. gives me deja vu to last game
9. Sbell - still reading SBell, he's not really playing like I've seen him as either scum or town.
10. Hb - null
11. Red - not enough to go off of, but i got a strange vibe from his post in topic 1 about how he came back to joke posts when there was more serious discussion happening than most d1s at that point.
12. Corrik - where is he
13. IGCD - unsure, let's wait until day 2
14. 5starscream - while i don't like peaf i have to admit that 5tar looked kind of off in their exchange last page. slight scum lean, but worried that they might be a b8 special candidate given that 5tar has been around and actively discussing things but hasn't made much of an impression.
15. Plum - i've honestly stopped trying to make sense of plum for now, he has confused me far too much today

Finally hit my lunch break and had a little time to formulate a post. I'm trying to keep up to current while I work, but it's rough for me to actually look into things without being on a break.

Entirety of the first topic is just chiming in or following up on other people's conclusions. No opinions of his own, just clarifications.
1.252 Contradicts Ulti that town could have reason to DM host.
1.274 Asks for clarification on my conditional read on Plum/IGCD.
1.438 Clarifies flavor speculation on JC's role.
1.446 Speculates on Bodyguard being comparable role.
2.123 Responds to Lopen's analysis on JC role speculation.
2.279 Finally posts some original opinions, but only after being prompted by Death.
My problem with HB from this stems from the idea that he seems to be reading and keeping up with the topic, but not actually trying to find scum in any way. The only question he asked of anyone was clarification on my post. No opinions unless prompted.

Then when he wakes up to give his opinions, he gives

1. A personal tell for Lopen.
2. A description of Sbell's standard gameplay.
3. JC scum WIFOM
4. Plum's frustration with IGCD (which has recently been an opinion shared by Red!)
5. Confusion about me
6. and as far as I can tell, a joke about Chang.

This feels like two actual opinions to me and not much else.

After my vote for him. He declares he is okay with being lazy about Death and happy to just wait out the result in 2.297
HB continued to talk a little bit about Plum and IGCD's shot. But not much else.

I'm going to keep my vote on HB for the moment because the feeling I get is that he is keeping up with the reading but not contributing. Not sure if he's just having trouble making reads, but that is a common thing to look for when scum have to manufacture reads.
I'm now going to go back and try and look at Plum more closely as I feel like I don't understand exactly what's going on with his case and want to review. Red coming in and taking umbrage with Plum's random vote of all things to comment on makes me wary.

I'm seriously unsure how much i need to reevaluate my chang read now that star just... followed me like that. That was one of the most bizarre things I've experienced since coming back to mafia and i feel icky from it.

Peaf. I didn't like how Chang simply accepted JC's answer as if it made perfect sense when to me it seemed like a very strange play. I agree with SBell about how I'd have played the role. I'd have played it as town vanilla at least for the first two days. Chang just going yeah ok made me think he was scum who maybe thought they don't need to kill JC because he'll die in 3 days anyway so he can drop the questioning and just let JC die. Asked enough to get some information but accepted it too readily for me.
To clarify. I think Peaf is scummy because he's been faux interrogating people and done very little with it. He's been very active but has admitted himself he's basically just stayed on chang despite all his activity he hasn't made any moves for alternate lynch, in fact he seems super upset that I voted chang.

I think Ulti is scummy because he's been way less active than I would expect. Initially I was like yeah this I've solved it because I'm a mafia genius votes were typical town Buuuuuuut, his disappearance after a long absence doesn't seem town, I'd expect him to have a point to prove.

What do you mean so-called? You think I don't find JC's claim suspicious. I already spoke about this with Sultan. I think there's a possibility that JC is scum buying time to get a power off. Nobody else seems to think so and basically all the questions have been asked. It resolves itself in a few days so pushing it would be a waste of time when people are a) not behind it and b) it resolves itself. I feel like my time is better spent pressuring people I have a stronger scum read on. Not everyone tunnels like you do Lopen.

I dunno if i would say everything that comes out of lopens mouth is something i agree with but most things have worked out that way. I'm reading (playing catch-up) and say to myself X and then like 2 posts later i'm reading Lopen saying that same thing. So since i know in my case its coming from a town perspective i tend to believe that lopens is as well. I found my own scum merit in Ulti coming out the gates at Sultan.

My opinions on plum. Plum is a tough one for me to read, when he's scum i'm fooled, when he's town i expect him, and he's always really good at looking like himself.

I know about the flavor reaction stuff (which is a good thing to point out at least)
Was just curious about stuff that happened before that sinceyou wanted Plum dead over me back in topic1.

Hey dumey, friend. I feel like this argument of yours against hb isn't entirely dissimilar to mine against chang, other than your heightened eloquence with words. Chang's "woe is me i don't know who is faking it, but i think these people are town and there are two iffy scum people maybe" feels to me like scum having trouble justifying fake reads.
What do you think of this idea?

With that said, though, the star thing is seriously making me reconsider chang. If that was a bus attempt then it's especially odd since star doesn't plan to be here at deadline... in which case his vote would presumably stay there. Ugh.

Well thats fair. I'd be okay with a full Plum claim beacuse I thought he said Miller and then backed off and said It was only flavor miller. A standard Miller would make more sense. But that also isn't what he claimed.

Plum also has played more annoyed that anything else

Can you actually clarify that for me. Is it just the fact that he went for Sultan in general? Or was it the perspective slip in particular that you didn't like. You spoke very strongly in your recap like Ulti was 100% scum, so I just want to know why you had such a strong reaction to it.

Do you think Chang has shown that he's been keeping current and reading? I haven't had a chance to look at Chang too seriously. Looking through Plum's posts atm.

It is but another way is to stay on Chang because maybe you're both scum and he's more useful alive N1 than you are. If I stay on chang and he gets lynched and flips scum then I can vote you tomorrow for trying so hard to get off Chang yourself. Correct?

Town Ulti doesn't do that garbage play. Ulti typed a long post about it. Ulti had time to re-read the post and know it was exactly what it was, but still votes for Sultan over it.

To be truthful I did a whole review of your posts just to see where the votes were coming from and found myself disappointed at the reasons given.
Lopen said nothing (as far as I can see), 5tar had.. well his bizarre sequence.
JCs was probably the best looking one, he brought up at least one point I would like you to respond to.
