these are the posts i was talking about. i'm just not sure i believe these posts are a town reaction imo. the moment of panic felt so genuine and real and ended up in a huge burst of posts all at once and then everything else sort of starts to slip back into character until you're eventually just hanging around all day, slipping under the radar and not even voting!

like that first post you can feel the emotions jump off the page but the rest, and other posts across the course of the first 48 hours feel more...manufactured? manicured?

i think i am doing an awful job of explaining this as I am not a good explainer of things like tone but i hope i am getting some kind of point across here despite my ineptitude

That just happened because people like Han said that the shot was obviously fake, which put me at ease as well. Thats simply it.
Though in your specific examples I was still feeling emotional in those first 3. Petty emotions mostly. But I also did really want to know everyone's feeling about this.

Also that isn't doubling down on my joke shot, that was me actually sharing the name of my role because there was a lot of confusion over what I was trying to say in regards to flavour. I was just being cheeky.

Lynching Sultan does make sense for scum because he was super town. There was no way they get him mislynched. Not really buying Changs claim at this point, smells more like hes a cult recruiter and recruited Han to me.
Sultan was basically the only other person to question leaving JC 3 days to do whatever he pleases.

Myself and lopen both questioned it at the time. I didn't really push it at all, but I agreed with lopen's theory and stated such.

This last sentence feels like you're laying it on way too thick.

Anyway, you keep saying i was looking for a reason to jump off chang yesterday. That's not true whatsoever. I was pushing him a lot, but also wanted to avoid a special. Furthermore, your reasons for voting chang were weak and your thought process at the town, if you are town, would have had to be this:

I think Peaf is scum. I think chang is scum. Peaf is the only person voting chang. Well maybe they're both scum but I'll join peaf on chang for no reason.

This confusion really bothered me because i thought you were really clear about it from the get go on t1p1. Dumey and then Han were the ones to start pushing the confusion. Dumey came from a place of "why is igcd risking himself to save plum" and Han threw out a theory that you and Plum had some scum board interactions that carried over into the game. But he asked it to dumey and didn't really pose it as an idea of his own.

Sure, but that doesn't sit right with me either. I don't think chang would have gone into nearly as much detail if the conversation was fake.

So han no longer thinks plum is scum even though plum didn't swim to the light, as he put it. Not much explanation for his star vote, and in his last post of the page he says that he's said everything he needed to say for day 1. He doesn't day why he wouldn't lynch me over plum.

Though he did have some moments of activity where he sounded like typical townHan, I dont think he said he was scared of dying yet.

Peaf, I went Chang and then to 5tar because of both viability and because I felt strongest about you being Town so I was trusting you. At the time, I thought little of Chang and 5tar.

It would also be incorrect to say Chang solely led the conversation in our Mason chat. It was pretty back and forth and based on Chang's approach to the conversation, how he asked about neighborizing and how he postulated questions to me, it felt like earnest conversation. He was also willing to put a lot of his thoughts down throughout the thing to where I feel pretty confident that he wasn't Scum at the time.

Also, I agree with you on 5tar, Peaf, that post read awfully.

Was going to ask Ulti what Sultan's scan was since he was probably lying, but I guess he doesn't have it. I don't have it either. Who has not spoken up so far today? There is zero to be gained by withholding someone else's scan.

And yeah, Lopen using actual nonsense on me is par for the course for his Town play. I'm a little hesitant because I pointed it out yesterday, and he's been pushing the idea of Cult+Mafia like it's an agenda, when yes, if you read start of game flavor and Plum's flip, it makes it pretty clear that the primary anti-Town Faction is Cult. SK is possible, but not worth considering atm.

I still won't have time to dig back into rereading until tomorrow, so don't expect anything grand, but based on it being a Cult game, more people than usual would be Town day 1, and the approach should be finding the people who were hiding day 1 and other people who are changing wildly from day to day.

JC is also Town and will be Town until he dies. That's simple logical analysis.

5tar said something specific about Sultan, I think, which caught my eye, but i won't be able to go back and find the post until lunch. Or maybe Death said it, I don't recall.

And Chang, I think your primary suspect for who Masonized us is not correct.

I am just assuming that either scum got the scan, or whoever got the scan is hiding the info to reveal at a proper time.

Sultan suspected hb (t3 page 4 and 5). Was a bit suspicious of lopen (t3 page 1). Was ok with a potential special on corrik.

I'm having trouble finding who his town reads are. But I'm confident that these three players didn't receive his result.

Unless... Sultan probably didn't think he'd die n1. What are the chances of him sending the result to one of these 3 to test whether or not they'd even share that they got a result? Kind of like sending a pineapple, if you will.

I think those chances are very low.

There are a lot of people who haven't checked in yet.

I've been more about reading Town as of late, and wasn't very engaged for day 1. I don't really recall details of day 1 very well right now. And Hangut hasn't really pinged practically at all since months ago.

Chang and 5tar though, I remember being specific people that I had seen post but had no inkling on. (And for the record, I'm pretty sure I did follow up on that question I asked you!)

Also, IGCD paraphrasing his flavor lends further credence to it being a fake claim.
