Disgaea has some advantages that Fire Emblem doesn't have, such as it makes grinding a lot more fun + has the whole "big numbers are goofy" thing, but as a game beyond that Fire Emblem is mostly just better than Disgaea. The timing system Disgaea uses leads to the game kind of stagnating pretty hard in terms of variety and the stages as a whole are really bad compared to basically any other tactical game. The core gameplay is IMO the best since the pre-Awakening games, and the waifu aspect has been shoved off to the side. You can like solo the game with her in most cases. Any space that gives avoid also up her crit. And it you use the Corrin ring, you can use a move that puts you in a fog which ups her avoid, and ups her crit, as well, IIRC... Daggers are also really good in this game being 1-2 range, and adding poison. And she's got decent strength, I believe... Mine does, at least. And I think she later gets a skill to let her move past enemies... When I split my team up, she can go off by herself and hold certain areas...
