No, that part seems to be right, though the Wikipedia article is a little confusing. The uprising began in 1612, it just sort of culminated in that 1614 riot.

Even if it's a dog whistle and even if JK Rowling meant it, I find it very hard to believe that the developers sat down in a meeting together and said "You know what really sells games these days? Anti-semitism. Let's write that into the lore". Call me naive.

the envoy guys maybe? I still dont really think so. That horn and the one the basic soldier guys carry are just horns like a soldier would carry to raise an alert or call a signal to other troops

And given how little information there is about it on the monolith that is the 2023 internet, I'm also starting to doubt that late 90s Rowling was aware of this 1600s German race riot and slipped the most obscure possible reference to it she could into a children's book.

Either way it'd be nice to have a better source than Wikipedia. However, I kinda doubt the creators of the game would have known and purposely put it in either way. Ironically there was a famous biblical painting in 1612 of the massacre of the massacre of the innocents too, so even just 1612 massacre might not have gotten them anything.

You're combining two separate notes. The 1612 note about Hamburg is not related to the 1614 note about Frankfurt.

Probably because as you can see by posts in this topic, there's a lot of ifs and slight reaches to connect all of that (the response to the Elden Ring shitpost smh), and I'm pretty sure the developer's primary concern was making a game and copypasting from mainline HP books and supplementary sources instead of doing a grad school level dive

If the devs become aware of this they'll probably patch it out.

The dev company of the game is majority Mormon, so this doesn't surprise me. Lots of anti Semitic rhetoric in Mormonism.
