Gordon Freeman and Raiden have challenged Donkey Kong, Diddy & Dixie Kong, Mewtwo and Bowser to a fight! Location of the fight: Bowsers Magma Mountain - The mountaintop of a massive volcano, as it appears in Mario Party. All spaces have been disabled other than Happening Spaces, which will cause the volcano to erupt if touched. The volcano can only erupt once every two minutes. All NPCs have been removed. Attackers begin at the maps start while defenders begin where Bowser resides. Which side will win?

Guidelines
- The fight will occur in real-time (like an FMV sequence). Gameplay mechanics are less important than how the characters would function in a real-time environment.
- The members of each team are ideal teammates capable of executing a prearranged battle plan.
- Unless stated otherwise, characters have access to their full arsenal of abilities and equipment. They may not always work at full power, however (e.g. a petrifying spell may have only a partial hindering effect not seen in gameplay or even fail outright against sufficiently powerful mercenaries). Use your own discretion.
- There may be SPOILERS from all of the games the characters are from.

Gordon Freeman is as he appears in Half-Life 2 and its sequels, with his full arsenal at his disposal save for the Super Gravity Gun.

Raiden is as seen in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance with access to all of his weapons (save the Fox Blade) and upgrades available in that game, including the Murasama blade, as well as a full complement of grenades and stinger missiles.

Bowser is as he appears in Mario & Luigi: Bowsers Inside Story, equipped with the Wicked Shell, Vampire Band, and Special Fangs X, though at his Super Mario Odyssey size. He may freely summon minions for Brawl Attacks, but only to perform the attacks, and cannot enlarge himself further or vacuum up abilities. He also has access to all abilities shown in Super Mario RPG, Super Mario Odyssey, and Super Mario 64, and may summon and use the Koopa Clown Car at will (though he only has one and it contains no minions or other weapons).

Diddy Kong is as he appears in Donkey Kong 64, with all upgrades and infinite Crystal Coconuts. He has access to his Super Smash Bros Ultimate moveset, with the exception of gameplay mechanics (i.e. banana forcing tripping, shield, etc.) and his Final Smash. He may use his jetpack without a Diddy Barrel.

Dixie Kong is as she appears in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. She enters the battle with Squawks, who will alert Dixie to any hidden items or enemies within ten meters, no matter how they are obscured.

Donkey Kong is as he appears in Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, at Platinum Crest level. He also has access to his Mario + Rabbids: Donkey Kong Adventure skills and Golden Gyre, Smash Ultimate moveset, and his fully-upgraded coconut gun and 10 orange grenades from Donkey Kong 64. He has become 300% bigger, faster (in both movement speed and reflexes), and stronger too for this week's battle.

Mewtwo is as it appears in Pokken Tournament, with all of its moves as well as those from Shadow Mewtwo in the same game, and is capable of a synergy burst on its own. It has all feats and powers demonstrated by Mewtwo in Detective Pikachu (both the game and film), aside from anything to do with swapping souls or consciousness, as well as its entire natural learnset from Pokemon: Lets Go Pikachu and Eevee, its natural level-up moves from Pokemon Scarlet & Violet and the move Psystrike. Teleport may only warp Mewtwo, and only to locations it has already seen in todays battle.

All I really got this week is that Raiden is bigger, stronger, and faster too. And he's stronger than the DK Crew.

Raiden fights a psychic user in the video who can manipulate his limbs to avoid weak points, creates a smoke screen and ambushes Raiden from the shadows and gets parried every time, and is also strong enough to throw a chopper and a bus simulatneously that Raiden chops down.

Raiden is very scary but this is a good matchup for Mewtwo. Raiden's not the most mentally stable fella I've ever seen, and this is a nice terrain for a psychic guy who can fly and throw rocks at people and throw people in lava. I also have a very large monkey to keep Freeman busy. Bowser's got homefield advantage, minions, the Clown Car, and is a big boy too. Even Diddy can fly real high with his jetpack on and Dixie has Squawks for traversal. They might not be contributing much but I think they can serve as a distraction at a key point. I wouldn't write my team off here!

Like yeah maybe Raiden wins a 1v1 but we've got a hefty numbers advantage and our (main) guys ain't slouches either

Uhhh not really. 300% of DK's bases is well below pretty much everything fought in MGR.

With someone more speedy at base it would become interesting but yeah.

Monsoon is not a psychic, this is disinformation

Monsoon is pure electromagnetism, it's why he says shit like 'Lorentz force! Go!' and 'Left hand rule!' in his fight

(I don't think it matters but like, no, Raiden has never fought a psychic in cyborg form)

A lot of this is relying on how to interp the attack "Psychic" honestly, if it doesn't fry (or at least crisp) Raiden's brain he wins handily

I mean size kinda increases durability by default

not necessarily to 300% but I would expect DK to be tankier still

I think Guard Swap also puts in work here, maybe even Power Swap.

Mewtwo might be able to throw things around, but he's fried zero brains in Pokemon as far as I'm aware. Raiden might be susceptible to emotional torment, but this doesn't do it in any of mewtwo's appearances.

Uh well, Gordon and his rockets probably take out most of the monkeys, but he has a lot of targets he has to deal with. Still, that's nothing new to him. And he's fought the Gargantua, so it's not like he hasn't dealt with oversized monsters.

Entirely depends on Raiden vs Mewtwo and I don't know how that one goes

Raiden's sword pretty much cuts through DK like butter. Blade mode is pretty much a gratuitous display of cutting various metal things that are thicker than ape hide.

Size would just mean he has to cut through more but when its going through that easily yeah if anything the size is a disadvantage here as it becomes harder to argue DK dodging stuff.

Straight durability you might be able to argue DK's hide becomes tougher or something and that he isn't just melted by it.

I think Psywave is usually interpreted as a "brain fry" type of attack even when other Psychic moves aren't, not sure I wanna argue that as a go-to though

has anyone considered that dixie is guaranteed to be the super star since she'll find the hidden star thanks to squawks and theres no toad to sell other stars

I'm saying a normal sized 300% better reflexes DK would have a lot more dodging cred than a giant sized 300% reflex DK

Te reflex and speed boost just make it so the giant size isn't a huge hindrance in that regard tbh.

i dont see how anyone gets in range on this terrain with gordon freeman using rockets and raiden scooping up the rest.

Mewtwo can fly and has Barrier, Diddy can fly and is small and maneuverable, DK and Bowser can take a few hits, Dixie is also here

is this a 20, 35 or 50 turn game

i need to know how long dixie has to survive before she becomes the super star and gains the strength to hurl metal bowser around an entire planet

Mega DK would easily beat Gordon. I also think Mewtwo plus Mega DK beats Raiden but I'm not sure Mewtwo can hold out that long. And yeah Mega DK would honestly do better against Raiden without the 300% size boost.

Any Bowser hypeists want to chime in?

Ways I can see Bowser contributing:

-Uses the spell Terrorize, which causes a Fear effect on a group of enemies (cuts attack and defense in half)
-Tells a bunch of Bob-ombs to go in the lava, which I assume causes a big explosion
-Tries to body check Gordon off of the mountain, relying on only the fact that he might live probably

Anyway I think that Dixie can probably get some hidden stars, but Diddy's personal dice (7-7-7-0-0-0) is really solid on this board, as he can accurately know where he's gonna go on given junctions and stall out the volcano erupting. Meanwhile I think Gordon just has mini-game star on lock, like, no one else here has the patience he does for the cerebral challenges, and that probably lets him get Coin Star, too, considering how hostile the board is to the coin economy.

donkey kong has 300% speed and reflexes, and also has experience with these minigames. Dude will easily get the minigame star

I also think he can tank a bit.

I also think Mewtwo is gonna debuff Raiden once he sees him as a threat. Confuse Ray will work well on him, Power Swap will benefit Mewtwo's mixed kit and hurt Raiden's physical one, and Guard Swap is also a boon here. Mewtwo's also got a party heal now!

Some of them I'll give you, but stuff like Face Lift? Being too big for Mushroom Mix-Up? Mario Bandstand? Not to mention stuff that he wasn't winning by default like Pipe Maze, and his size makes him absolutely tank all the 2v2 minigames with any partner.

Beyond what Kamek said, Bowser also has poison, which drains 10% of max HP every single turn it's active. I have no idea if Raiden would ever get afflicted by it tho, man strikes me as someone with a strong Fortitude save

What is giving me pause is DK's clap. In Jungle Beat, he's able to clap really loud, and the sheer shockwave from it is able to blow up meteors that are roughly his size, if not slightly larger. I think that deals with Gordon's offensive output fairly handily rocket-wise.

4x DK is ludicrously strong (base DK has punched the quite large k. rool straight through a roof and a huge distance away) and everyone on the rest of his team can fly around and kite, which is great on this map. raiden probably -could- slice through a bowser crush mechakoopa, but it's gonna take a lot of attention and he's gonna be assailed from multiple angles constantly here

Life Dew (the move in question) is described as thus:

"The user scatters mysterious water around and restores the HP of itself and its ally Pokmon currently in the battle."

So uhhhh... maybe? Like, it's essentially magical healing (looking it up, it's pretty much just fairies and legendary psychics... and Lapras, Milotic, Lucario, and Corsola). Like I would assume it's a pure life force thing considering Lucario can learn it and the whole aura gimmick, but uhhhh... I honestly don't know if I buy that without, like, DK putting his severed arm back in place for Mewtwo to patch, which I don't think Raiden is gonna let them do.

If theres one avenue of attack I believe Raiden is susceptible to, its psychic attacks.

So to me the question is mainly "can 4X DK hold out decently well vs Raiden long enough for that to happen"
