One-Armed Woman In An Ass Spanking Contest

I just... don't really know what Mega Man DOES that lets him effectively 1v1 Samus. Like, I get it, he'll likely use an early loop to do some lasting damage, get in a Marvel super or whatever, but most of Mega Man's tools are made to enable team plays, and he's... pretty much having to go solo here. Of all of his weapons, the ones I see doing any significant contribution are:

Atomic Fire (Damage)
Rain Flush (Damage)
Gravity Hold (Damage)
Slash Claw (Damage)
Astro Crush (Damage)
Homing Sniper (Damage)
Laser Trident (Damage)
Black Hole Bomb (Damage)
Time Stopper (Escape)
Centaur Flash (Escape)
Spark Shot (Escape)
Concrete Shot (Escape)

Ice Slasher (Threat If He Specifically Targets Her Missing Limb)
Tundra Storm (Threat)

Now that's a lot of weapons when I put them in a list that I think are viable! However, I don't think that a single one trades well with the Power Bomb, and I think in all exchanges other than "super and then IMMEDIATELY stall Samus and peace out", Mega Man has a losing trade there. This assumes Mega gets the drop on Samus every single time and she's not prowling about actively hunting his friends, because once she has them in her sights and Mega Man can no longer go back to base camp to learn what to do next from the 10-year old child, that's game. He HAS to kill Samus before then, and he just... doesn't have enough firepower. Using the ice weapons to specifically target her missing arm would give hope - Metroid DNA makes her weak to ice and "200 degrees below freezing" is a pretty good attack to use on someone like that, but the Gravity Suit is otherwise insulated. And I don't see "knowing Samus' capabilities out of fear" ending up being like "she is a terror who can absolutely murder is... but also she hates ice so if we pour a bucket of ice down her back she'll go down easy. BUT OTHERWISE WE'RE DOOMED". Can Rock possibly sus out that weakness? ... if he had less options to try, maybe, but even with loops, I don't see how he's getting that info back to Rika and choosing one of two weapons that can both target her weak point AND are her weakness (most of the other ice ones either go along the ground or are weird snowflake shotguns) .

tl;dr, I just don't think Mega Man has the firepower to beat Samus in trades before she either beats him or kills all his friends, even if he tries like 20 times. The sheer gap in durability vs firepower is too much. Give Mega Man some more support, remove BJ, or replace Mega Man with a stronger damage dealer (I think Joker or Zeratul does WORK here) and we might have a miracle.

Samus is here left handed. As we know, gun is on the right arm of the suit but isnt literally her right arm. She can put the cannon her left and while I grant that that isnt ideal and she cant steady the arm cannon Samus has two different sources of homing rockets on this build (base from Dread and a second set from her custom).

Is this based off anything. Like is there a showing where Samus reattaches gun arms

Alternatively is her arm cannon just going function severed from the suit Im not sure her arms work that way?

I have been kinda going back and forth on how I interp that in general; like if Link lost his most favored limb, which for arguments sake lets say is his arm with the master sword, would the sword just disappear or could someone else just reach down and pick it up

this is obviously another layer with armor thats attached to other parts that clearly aren't removed but like is it a clean break and just sitting there or is it whisked to the ether (or comedy option its still cleanly attached just with no arm inside so its just dead weight)

luckily i don't think it actually matters TOO much here but it is something i've been idly wondering to myself

Ive been wondering this but but what Ive really been wondering is how the trigger mechanism in a one-handed fully encapsulated arm gun works

Like, if the gun is meant to be ergonomic and fit fully around her right hand, surely it wont just fit nicely on her left.

She's impressive in Other M and Dread even without her blaster arm, she can parry Raven Beak with that hand. Course, BJ also is shooting people in a cable car or climbing and Megaman still can't solo vs the two of them if he teleports in.

mega man is pretty good at sussing out enemy weaknesses! it's kinda his whole thing.

question - does samus in her current build (or i guess bj) have any way of detecting the enemy team at range? like what does the echo visor do

Man I really feel like Mega Man wins easily if Leon has the bolt action rifle to kill BJ with but it feels like a lot for him to solo with the homing gun BJ has.

I do think Mega Man theoretically counters the attempt at cart ambush with his Magnet Beam but the problem is what is his team actually contributing?

Samus in Dread has X-Ray visor, Echo visor lets her see sounds, and Dark visor lets her see things that are in interdimensional flux.

To address this though his Muramasa Blade from robot master Raiden could probably chop through Samus pretty well.

so even if mega man is out of sight, is samus still 'perceiving' him as per the wording of the ability?

Ultimately the issue is while Mega Man can win if he telestomps onto BJ he is not thinking clearly and will prioritize Samus. Meanwhile his team gives basically zero support on this terrain even if Mega saves them due to lack of legitimate ranged options.
