Konami isn't even trying to hide their greed. All of the cards that will eventually get limited/banned (Kitkallos ban, Havnis/Merrli to 1 for sure) are SR or lower, and yet they still give the archetype a whopping 6 UR cards in the pack. It's such an obvious effort to maximize the amount of resources people have to waste building the deck and minimize the amount of resources they'll be refunded when banlist hits kill the deck. The only bright side is that Konami might limit/ban the cards even faster because they're not UR. I'm considering not even bothering to build the deck and spending the thousands of gems in my gift box that are about to expire in 5 days on something else.

As for the leaked 4 attributes event... they finally made an event where I can't play Kozmos and now I'm sad. I still have options though. On my main account I have Zoodiacs (though I don't know how good it'll be without Zeus), Floowandereeze (if the event banlist will even let it in despite no Shifter), and Ultra Athletes, and on my side account I have Marincess, True Dracos (again, if the event banlist lets them in at all), and Beetroopers.

For the 4 elements event I've decided to craft a adamancipator deck. Since most of my decks up till now reliad heavily on dark or light monsters like dinos or thunder dragons.

Adamancipators though don't rely on either. And whose core pieces actually aren't that expansive.

I decided to do a few 10-pulls on the Tearlaments pack just because the gems in my gift box were going to expire anyways, and the game gave me a royal Kaleido-Heart and a glossy Primeval Planet in my first 10-pull. If the game wants me to play Tears that badly, then fuck it, I guess I will.

I decided Im gonna pull the pack this month, and if I get enough cards for the deck, I'll build it, but if not, I'll just sacrifice the depressed mermaids to my pile of UR cp. Got 150 right now and could always use more >_>

I'm just gonna pull for the Amazoness stuff, and if I get Tears, then neat.

The new Melffys are all SR but I'm not sure how many are needed for the deck.

Staring Contest should be at 3 I think.

I'm somehow 1-0 against tearlaments, but man it honestly seems scary just thinking about playing against them regularly. I also hate how every new archetype is either incomprehensible giant monster/robot guy, or cute girls. I guess melfys are cute though.

Somebody on twitter mentioned that in every other format, Tears even at T0 actually had their competitors at max power. But in MD, the other decks actually got hit harder

Floos have no statue, Sprights have no Toad, Dimensional Shifter is at 2. If you play Exosisters, you might be at a decent place but play anything else, and you're kinda fucked atm. Tears hits were like... not even hits. They appear to be at a lower power until you realize only like 3 Ishizu copies are hit and Tears have like 9 names

We might actually be looking at an even bigger tier 0 format than any other deck

I see people saying but it feels like MD has more broken cards legal. Nah, that's OCG. We have no side decking to boot

Don't forget the fact that anyone can easily build Tearlaments in this game because of how the packs and crafting system work, whereas in real life a lot of people huffed copium with other decks simply because they couldn't afford to build Tearlaments. Plus, it's easier for people who don't like Tearlaments and don't like the format to stop playing a free-to-play video game than a real-life TCG that they've already sunk hundreds of dollars into. Those two factors will probably make Tear Zero even more common compared to the real-life formats.

Tears weren't much more expensive than other decks per se. It helped that the type of staples they run weren't much more expensive than others, and majority of the cards were in a single set. Also helped you only really need 1-2 of each of the fusions

Ka$htira was like doubly more expensive actually, and far less fun to play.

In all honesty, although it is jank, I want to put Tearl girls with Dragonmaids.

Volcanics support has been announced since 1504 days ago.

It looks great. I dunno how good the flow of summon and resource looping is, but it does a bunch of 500 eff dmg hits and actually takes advantage of shell recycling itself as well as including the blaze accelerators within its strategy, as well as them becoming resource to banish to summon to big bad chad.

You only need 16 ticks of 500 dmg to win the duel, providing they don't have heal. You can also easily get about 3-4k eff dmg off of the king.

It's extremely weak to side boarding, but there are a lot here that could be pretty broken. They can FTK, but they can also kill on turn 2 going first via 500 dmg whenever monster eff goes off

If it screws over the games balancing this hard then I'd prefer it if archetypes like tear just never enter the game.

That or Konami does a better of balancing them in the future. Since simply banning certain cards of other strong decks whenever they want to sell something makes alot more sense then continuous power creep.

Where and how much did you pay for this? I like collecting the OCG structures and had to spend a fair bit to import the Albaz one.

I think im gonna go for a Branded Despia deck. I like these hellish looking dragons and it seems like all their key cards are in one secret pack.

No the cards are real, they're just Japanese. I'm not sure where you live but if you're un the US or UK they're not legal for play but if you're in any asian countries you can use them. You just have to look up what they do.

OCG cards are SO much nicer than American ones. The quality, color, and foiling is better. They also have nicer rarities and still have ghost / ultimate rares in core sets.

Yeah there are quite a few. The best way is to compare it to a card you know is genuine but fakes usually have issues with the font being wrong, foiling that doesn't exist, packaging that gets the logo/card art wrong. Uncensored artwork on English cards that aren't part of the "Lost Art" promotion. The square hologram in the bottom right corner should be on every card with the eye of anubis and "Yu-Gi-Oh" inside of it.

The back should have Konami in the top left and the Yu-Gi-Oh logo in the bottom right.

As for japanese/Korean cards it'll always be a good idea to ask a card shop if you're unsure and always by from reputable sellers.

And fakes will almost always be super glossy but yoi can't really judge OCG cards in this way because the real ones are also pretty glossy.

But yeah I can definitely tell that your cards are real from the picture you provided.

Damn this is helpful for my future cards buying endeavours. I want to build an og fusion deck like in the anime.

I only have one U.A. Player Manager so I just rearranged what I did have to throw in 3 dimensional fissures and macro cosmos to my U.A. deck and I've got several Tearlaments to just forfeit. One went for awhile before they remembered you can negate the effect of AA Zeus.

Edit: and just got a win with 3 ash blossoms, solemn judgement, and macro cosmos

I think the vast majority of Ishizu Tear decks don't run Ash, though it's not entirely impossible - my partner ran headlong into one just last night and was surprised because "hey, those aren't supposed to fucking be here!"

After a while, Tear decks will readjust to running Ash I think, mostly because Maxx "C" still exists, and it's still difficult to adequately deal with Maxx "C". Tears just win by oppressive resource loops and endless searches and swarms. The only thing that deals with Tears is just to really hard outresource through their entire loop in a single turn.

The opponent Maxx "C"s on their turn, then suddenly it's less obvious who will win. You put up a small board, and the next turn interaction just keeps giving them draws. So it's in Tears' best interest to have Maxx "C" package counters

I will point out that macro cosmos wrecks rear decks, as does dimensional fissure. But only if you go first.

I've done it. Apollousa with 3-4 materials plus scythelock plus several negates before then.

But Killer Potato looks like a fun card. Kind of sad I dismantled my Starfrost now, since it seems to combo well. >_>

Killer Potato is basically Babysaurus for 1500 atk or lower mons. Reproducus probably needs a ban though. The Cyber Stein Repro combo has been seen in so many fucking things by this point. You can't not pull off an FTK once you can get both out

You know it is kinda funny that the OCG went scorched earth on almost every non-opt "tribute to burn" monster (rip Cannon Soldier) because they enable FTKs, but for some reason refuse to touch either of those two. >_>

I've found that Swordsoul with D Shifter/D other thingies/D D crow just a lot of Ds everywhere works decently well. It makes the deck way brickier but I think overall it's a pretty big improvement and viable to win against Tears. Tears don't like it when Chengying or Draco Berserker is on the field, and it's pretty easy to make both.

D.D. Crow (which I just crafted a royal rare of) also stops all the fusion effects. They need to be sent to the deck in over to resolve the effect. Doing it early is generally pretty good, banishing already used Ishizu pieces aren't too bad either
