So the last 15 years of non stop capeshit making a billion dollars each was fine but a mario movie doing it crosses some line?

OK then

I mean thats kinda proving their point, given how things went after Marvel first blew up.

But then again all the other attempts at grand cinematic universes flopped except the "monsterverse" (which is cheating anyway its 75% Godzilla) and now that the Arrowverse is dead and Marvel tv has been quarantined to Disney+ there may be hope ;P

And a Crash movie or at least cartoon is pretty much a lock at this point...and nd all kinds of trash will follow it these next 5 yrs....

That said God of War and Gears of War could be quite something if done properly...
But who are we kidding ? Studios will insist on a pg13 rating....so scratch those 2 right off...

But what if your job is to watch the movies and write stuff? You can see a horrific future where theres so many terrible movies. And all because too many people saw one specific movie.

I would guess its because critics and viewers look at movies through different lenses Which makes sense and doesnt at the same time. It makes sense since they are reviewing it instead of just watching for entertainment. But it doesnt make sense since people at just watching it to have fun That said, its also hard since people in general are different Some critics just dont like a movie because of the genre Personally, I wouldnt want to be a critics And tbh, I dont usually listen to critics about video games or movies

I don't agree with the premise, a broken clock getting right once doesn't mean there will be an explosion of content from it. There will no doubt be sequels and spinoffs, but I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Hell, Nintendo doesn't even have to make Mario games anymore. They can just make Mario movies.

What a stupid article. Forget all of the other terrible fads in Hollywood, its the Mario Movie that will ruin everything.

Also if it wasn't called Battleship nobody would even remember or care that some goofy ass naval transformers knockoff movie existed. Brand recognition kept it in the cultural subconscious.

If a movie looks bad I wont watch it. Why should I care how many bad movies are made when I dont have to watch them?
