Metroid: Samus Returns. I fucking hated that movement with the d-pad wasn't even an option and I fucking hated the parrying bullshit. And I also hate that game for apparently being the template for Metroid going forward. Metroid Dread from what I've heard has the same bullshit.

I'm a big fan of dread, but I'll warn you that the final boss can literally only be beat with extensive amounts of parrying. As in, after the first phase, the boss is literally invulnerable to normal attacks. You can only hurt it by parrying.

I have such a weird relationship with that one. I enjoy it. But I never actually finish it. I just start a new game and eventually bore out. I sort of think the weird controls are what's doing it, but I have no idea.

Forza Horizon 5

Would be a 9/10 game if not for the constant crashing/lag spikes. It got so bad that I had to stop playing.

I don't mind some of the game, but the plot contrivances ruin everything for me.

Assassin's Creed 3 had so much going for it, but the writers just completed pussied out on the story. It could have been a fantastic alternate-history story where you lead the Native Americans in an uprising against the colonists, but no, we got....whatever the fuck that was

Definitely Assassins Creed 3. I was well into that 2012 shit and thought it was so cool that a major game franchise was leaning on it so heavily and I just knew they had a master plan to end everything perfectly..... and then, well. Ya know.

Heh, I was just talking to someone yesterday about how, when Metroid Dread's final boss and Cuphead's penultimate boss told me to either git gud at parrying or go eat shit, I ultimately decided to go eat shit. Fuck parrying.
