How many of any generation had any real power on how the US government behaves.

How about our most current young generation. How much have you all been able to sway how anything works?

Its always been like this. Its mostly just people trying to get by with whatever is allowed.

Just need a few decades under your belt to see how nothing really ever changes.

Yeah, I actually had a Boomer tell me that if I get any college degree I'll be able to get a good job. It's like, okay I get that when you were in your twenties anyone with a college degree got fast tracked to a high paying management job at your company but that was when it was comparatively rare for someone to be college educated compared to today.

Boomers get a bad rap. Less than 45% of the under 35 vote, ie all boomers, were for Reagan, it was the older generations that overwhelmingly supported conservaives and axed the programs that boomers were the last to benefit from.

I think a lot of boomers don't realize they were the last generation to be better off than their parents. Older generations have "had it harder" for so long it's been taken for granted. I think now that boomers are old they want to believe the young generation has it easier, like their parents told them, but it's just not true anymore.
