It's one of those doublesided covers. You can flip it over for the FeMC.

Tactica looks like a turn-based strategy ish game. The art style is completely not my thing.

I guess I'm excited about the remake, but honestly I was expecting it to be as stylish as vanilla P5, and this feels more like just a moderate graphics upgrade

Just realized the very real and honestly likely possibility that they'll sell Persona 3 RR a year after this comes out with the FeMC included.

Like, that's their special edition rerelease waifu this time around.

Maybe it loses FeMC, but we get the party member social links for the guys? We dont really know a lot of anything about the game other than visual upgrade and likely giving us full party control.

Looks like Kenji is still a Social Link, so odds are not in that favor.

I'm interested in what P3R can bring but there will need to be some exciting new additions for me to buy it, I already played P3P a bunch. In the first place it would need to be a decidedly superior option to me just... playing P3P again.

I don't think they'd need to do anything except keep the original audio. If they did, I don't see it as too much an issue outside of scheduling conflicts or money issues. I know they replaced people for P4G as that game was made way back, but kept people like O'Brien and Bailey for Catherine Full Body fairly recently. I would think they'd keep anyone that's still available. Ruff and Strassman still do Persona stuff, and I know Lowenthal and Platt were around for Spider-Man. The only change to the cast they may do is Wendee Lee as Fuuka (which was a change they made for post P3P games).

If they did recast Mignogna due to the blacklisting, it makes ethical and business sense. Overall, I think the best thing to do in most any situation is just take the OG dialogue and remaster it. It's already there, and was already good. I kinda hope Metal Gear remakes do the same. If you have good dialogue and recordings, there's no reason to redo it unless you have to add stuff in.

Well, Persona 4 Golden recast because there was new content. If this is just a straight remaster, then there's no need to re-record audio.

They already confirmed that MGS triangle was the original audio

I would think that if this is just base game persona 3 with no additional stuff, then it's kind of a waste. I feel like they would have to at least voice some of the social links.

I don't know the ins and outs for situations like that. Chie and Teddie were the most notable recasts at the time. Any new dialogue they did with everyone else, it just sounded "slightly different." I know since I recently replayed P4G last month and could tell when they did the redub content with the OG actors. It's certainly up the dub company to say, "We'll just stick with new voice actors and be done with it." Sometimes, like Xenosaga, they change it, only to bring the OG actors back for 3.

It would definitely be a lot of trouble to re-do all this audio 15 years later when the path of least resistance (and public annoyance) is just use what's there. The actors themselves may want to do the work again and get another paycheck, but who knows.

I'll buy P3R. If they re-release the game a year later with FeMC, which I've never played, so be it. I'll buy that one too.

I have no interest in P5T and am getting a little sad to see Persona 5 get bled so dry.

Ideally wed see Persona 6, but yeah Ill also take remasters/remakes of P3 and 4 over more P5 spin-offs. Feels like P5 will be 10 years old before we even see 6

I've really wanted to replay P3 but man if this isn't a definitive version then I dunno if this is gonna be the one.

hmm

I view re-releases as different than shoehorning the characters into a bunch of different genres. If I want to buy the same game multiple times to experience it in different ways, I don't really see that as overextending the game.

Yes, there were multiple occasions where Yuri would change VAs during the same scene. I think there may have even been a couple of times where his VA changed in back to back sentences.

It was sometimes within the same scene that they'd switch. It was really bad.

so i'm gathering from this topic that it's basically just a p3/fes remaster to the p3p remaster earlier this year huh. sucks but fair enough. if it was actually deliberate i bet it was leaked just to get the backlash out of the way before ms took the brunt of it themselves. gonna assume it has been rebuilt mostly just since it's too much of a hassle to do anything with the original code, and so it'd possible to add femc dlc at some point >_>

tactica doesn't interest me beyond the prospective novelty of being able to add another smt song to my srpg vgm list by the time i re-rerun it probably
