Meaning, the theaters that showed the movies only made profit off of concessions despite being flooded due to these major releases. This was a major money grab, and in the time since, a lot of movie studios have increased their percentage of ticket sales. As such, movie tickets have inflated and the theaters themselves have taken most of the blame, when the truth is they get less and less of the ticket sales over time.
