I've been wondering what Nintendo's plans are for Mario Kart, if the team's working on MK8 DLC up til the end of this year.

I always thought it was crazy they did this much DLC and so late into the lifecycle of the Switch. Mario Kart is a bit like Smash though where do they go from here.

I honestly expect no Metroid prime 4 news at all...

but a shadow drop for metroid prime 2. (or is it too early?)

I dont think the idea for the Wii U had ever been to launch a year before more powerful (though still underpowered) systems, I think it was supposed to compete with the PS3 and Xbox 360 rather than the PS4 and Xbox One.

It wasn't powerful compared to PS3 and 360, it was on the same level as them. Nintendo was well aware that the PS4 and XB1 were coming shortly. "Powerful for 2011 compared to other consoles on the market" doesn't even mean anything. Plus, it was a 2012 system anyway.

I'm going to assume the leak is accurate, so regardless of if it's Super Mario RPG or Chrono Trigger I'm stoked.

A remake of Chrono Trigger with 2D-3D style sounds kinda disappointing.

That game deserves a full FF7 style remake with a fleshed out story and new mechanics.

Chrono Trigger leaks are probably just the result of that 2.5HD fan project putting out a trailer today. Someone saw it and got mixed up.

Feels like Chrono Trigger has enough trouble just being ported though it did come to PC some years ago IIRC
