Very lame ending, but if Lea needed to do it Lea needed to do it. If I was scum I probably would have died much sooner because there's no chance I would have put that much effort in there. As town similarly I would have been right or wrong probably within 2 hours of day open.

Crescent deep diving Smash Mafia when there was plenty of data here had me rolling. Just make the shot. (I also think looking at past games is just an exercise in confirmation bias generally because players are players first before alignments)

No idea why Wallz didn't put that much effort into the game when he was actually alive. The POE hadn't changed at all from his perspective.

The best part was Red telling me I'm bad when I was spitballing him and Corrik as scum to only have him take my word for it and trust Lea when I didn't say anything on the subject. He obviously came around in final 3 but I had a good chuckle over that.

The best part was me getting Chaos Tony killed before getting shot n0. Really saved you all.

Tunneling only has value if you can generate vote pressure by doing it with your own vote (which was why doing it when you had a vote was preferred) and by convincing others (and doing it when Isquen was alive was more so). Otherwise being concise is better. I would never post that much as force ghost in final 3 because people are going to trust themselves before you in that situation and there's basically no one to convince.

I really do think if Wall wasn't there I get it over with a lot sooner and don't keep stalling. Have you ever dealt with a situation where you want to lynch someone in final 3 but dead, confirmed town is doing absolutely nothing but telling you to lynch the other person instead

Also for people questioning my scan on ulti, him and corrik are both players I can't accurately read, more so than everyone else, so I needed confirmation for myself to be able to trust ulti.

Especially because we flipped scum with his power.

Oh I understand why most players would do it in that situation. I still believe in everything I said when I called him town for it, but most people don't remember almost everything that happened ever like I do.

And.. Really no one can read Corrik. Corrik is the only "town" I voted all game.

Always happy to help! I may not be that experienced, but I got ideas. Glad I could use some this game and help it be balanced. (You'll see more when I host Complicated Mafia.)

That really is what happened when I was masons with MI in Suprak's game But yes you were very accurate and needed to die.

The way I did it was not standard though and only implemented because to balance around the specialness of that role!

This was a wild last day to read. GG red and Lea I can't imagine putting in that much work.

My only issue with wallz's play is that

1. He didn't make the play when he was alive. Again from his perspective the game state is identical and he should have played harder when he and Isquen were alive.

2. He was too loud for someone with no vote and became distracting.

Like his read was wrong big deal. I had a strong town read on red day 1 so thought the suspicion of him was weird all game but if I had been there all game who knows. Red looking suspicious as town is more a problem with Red's play than wallz's imo because he generally will be that way at some point due to being overly lazy if he's not engaged.

His vote no longer matters and just his voice. I would think he would use it as much as he could.

This reminds me of a game scare and I lost in f3 as a hydra where we wim'd our way back from impossible odds but during f3 a town member was going pretty overboard in an unhealthy way to prove they were town so we agreed privately to kind of phone it in as we were satisfied with our efforts.

In fact the biggest scumtell of Lea at the end was listening to him after she placed a vote and unvoting

@Lopen did you bother to read the exchange where Lea faked having an emotional outburst when I was tunneling her? Or the end of day when I said I was sheeping Isquen because I wanted her lynched and knew I couldnt get my way? I spelled out the scum case against Lea better than anyone in this game and no one gave a fuck. It was time to confirm myself and make sure I didnt potentially give scum a layup in the final three.

Isquen whiffed super hard (I dont blame him in general and especially because of his personal stuff) saying Lea was 99% town. Red kept saying to trust IGCD. The votes werent there. You can lead a few horses to water, etc. Maybe I couldve banged the table louder but I felt like if the case I laid out against Lea wasnt doing the trick nothing would. Not to mention I banged the table for sbell and not only did no one care until crescent showed up making the same arguments, but then I got mislynched despite tunneling the roleblocker. Lol. I am convinced theres nothing I couldve done at my current skill level to talk that group into a Lea lynch over myself.

Despite my mislynch being super dumb I think I wouldve been the likeliest mislynch in f3. Did not want.

Totally understandable in 99% of games, but my role was ban the host if mafia territory. Not that I minded the innocent scan but I think I was an easy read in this one.

My initial read on you and corrik is there is no way you're scum because I wasn't killed but I needed the confirmation so it wouldn't eat at the back of my mind.

I would argue fear of getting things wrong, your survivor gambit, and it being end of the game did more work than wallz did.

Like Crescent is claiming wallz was throwing her but I'm not sure how much stock I put into her appraisal of her own decisionmaking and play when she was trying to claim single handedly lynching sbell and sweeping the Corrik bias lynch under the rug as "but he was scummy!"

Honestly, mad props to Lea for continuing to play on despite the first two days. I made a joke that my curse of having my scum team getting instantly nuked was counteracting Lea's immunity to being lynched, and, well, turns out both forces were still perfectly in effect lol

I won't lie that I'm a tad salty over getting 360 no scoped over a legitimate joke post and getting gladiatored with the doctor of all people. Talk about unlucky x_x

I'm glad my death exposed the cop to us, but that was still extremely rough lol
Speaking of which, sorry for playing the emotional manipulation card, Ulti. I don't think I stood a chance against the Doctor unless I had a powerful role like Cop, which I'd certainly get counter claimed by. I really needed to sell an image of me being town in the slight hopes people might be convinced to lynch Death over me.

Overall, town played well. You guys were formidable foes to the end, and I'm not upset at all at how this ended. Lea fought hard for a seemingly hopeless cause (it's kinda funny now how holding onto the belief of Survivor Red kept us going lmao), but as long as everyone had fun, that's all that matters.

Yeah, I do wish I had noticed the argument against red sooner. No offense to red - his final 3 play was phenomenal, Im proud of him for being critical to town winning. But if the best thing you can show for yourself in final 3 is a single vote on scum in the shit posting phase and a post where you said I dont like sbells last minute fake claim but Id have to check some stuff, thats bad. Red made more posts complaining about his waning interest than he did looking for scum. Theres a reason Corrik called out his scum hunting, it was virtually nonexistent. I have always read about the excuses red makes as scum and they were here in abundance. But it all worked out because if I succeeded in getting red lynched I would easily have been mislynched, I think.

Lopen I do genuinely appreciate the constructive criticism you gave. Ive taken it to heart in a good way. I do think your focus on me right now is a bit excessive coming from someone who spent over 50% of their entire gameplay having a slap fight with town peaf lol. But I can only imagine how exasperating it was to see me go from right to loud wrong, so I get it to a degree.

Again the issue isn't that you were wrong the issue was that eventually railing on one person adds nothing and you're distracting the flow of the game. I do think that it ultimately won us the game in this case strangely (my read was Crescent wanted to lynch red despite her claims-- if the environment was more calm it's possible she just votes) but in a general case I don't think it's productive.

Most of my tunneling is done early game to draw reactions. Late game you'll rarely see me outright tunnel unless the read is right. And in that case I'll be trying to ask people how I can convince them rather than "building the case" as the case has been built.

As for the wrong vs right part it's just motivation. Red can play lazy as town or scum-- I do think your case on Lea was way more ironclad because you had caught her doing stuff that is scum motivated.

Lea you did amazingly well all things considered.

We may not have won but it certainly shouldn't feel like a defeat.

Thanks for the game, I played horrendously and then put in about an hour of effort. Not gunna avoid a lynch like that.

Side note I'm disappointed no one spotted Lea mentioning me TWO TIMES to rebuff suspicions of her. It may have been a coincidence I died and she was saying "don't go Lopen on me and tinfoil" but I'm such a weird n1 kill these days that I'm disappointed no one really thought about it (a red scumteam never kills me n1 ever)

Noted, Lopen. I will 100% work on reducing my long-ass ISOs/wall posts because I do agree they must disrupt the flow for others, plus I think seeing that much at once probably deters people from paying attention.

Well the more people alive the better those posts are I guess is my point-- they are valuable but the less people reading them the less it matters.

My point is not to stop doing them outright but just that when you've got 4 or 6 people left it's not doing a lot. You'd be better suited trying to convince people on a more personal level.

Don't tell Dumey but when he does his iso's i never ever go back and look at the posts that he's referencing because i play the game 95% on mobile, and having multiple tabs up to look at posts and going back and forth is a huge pain in the ass.

Putting in the work is good, but without a concise argument it's easy to lose your fellow town.

I usually ISO in notepad and just summarize in topic. When I do it. I don't do it all the time.

I just have bad memory and don't know anything about past games, except for mental notes about things i was really wrong about. Like with how i was wrong about town Death fifty times in a row.

Same wish Gamefaq had the iso button can just make a wall post by clicking add on Mafia Universe might be the most convenient thing ever for Mafia.

100% agreed with this. Even on PC, it's a hassle to go back and cross-reference posts with whatever long-winded arguments are being made.

I'm much more of a direct quotes kind of person. But I've also learned to value the "concise is nice" principle, especially when I had to go ISO myself back in Yu-Gi-Oh Mafia and realized just how much of a royal pain in the arse it is to parse through a post large enough to rival size of the Great Wall of China.
