I highly doubt it, seeing as people (even dumbass rich people like the Elongated Muskrat) generally don't go out of their way to hemorrhage money, even at the behest of foreign states. The Saudis in particular are probably more concerned about possibly not being able to recoup the money they lent to Musk to help him buy Twitter, considering that if Twitter was an actual threat to the royal family's power, they could just block it in Saudi Arabia and punish circumventing the block harshly.

More likely, Musk is in this to gratify his own ego (by "proving" that he's not an idiot after having stupidly locked himself into buying Twitter for way more than it was actually worth and tying Tesla's finances to it, only for his attempts to make money to backfire hard) and to platform hate (particularly transphobia, which could also tie into ego here, seeing as Grimes left him and then hooked up with Chelsea Manning, and his transgender daughter, Vivian Wilson, disowned him as her father and took her mother's name), which then went on to scare off advertisers who view open support of Nazis and such as being unprofitable.

Of course, I could see some of those foreign states trying to take advantage of Musk flushing Twitter down the shitter, possibly by setting up "replacements" that they alone control.

Not denying that one bit. Just pointing out that the Muskrat is himself a total shitheel who could very well have been motivated to become openly transphobic (with that reflected in what he's doing hate-policy-wise to Twitter, which had previously been a decently-popular means of communication for LGBTQ+ people) because of his own malignant narcissism (e.g. "If I can't have you, then nobody can!" and whatnot).

musk is technically worth close to 200 billion but that is just theoretical wealth. his entire net worth is tied to tesla and anything that can undermine the value of tesla can cause a domino effect that could wipe out all his net worth. twitter could end up costing him way more than 44 billion since some of his loans are tied to his tesla stock

Nope. Tesla could go to 0 and he'd still own a majority stake of SpaceX and dozens of other companies. His loan is tied to Tesla stock for convenience and tax purposes. If something bad were to happen there's a million ways to escape the financial dominoes that would at worst leave him with 100 billion left.

Billionaires write the rules. There's no amount of incompetence that will do him in. You're gonna need the Bernie bros to tax his wealth out of existence or accept him as royalty.
