So uh everyone basically has the same variants in their gold section now too. What in the world is going on in this game

This is confirmed to be a bug fwiw, they updated the selection process to prioritize newer variants, but they said it's working TOO well and they want more variety

Doesnt surprise me. They cant launch anything new without bugs of some kind

Well, the meta seems a lot less focused on last turn plays now, and more just a cumulative build up that you want to try stopping early, so Leech doesn't have much of a use currently.

Elektra is more forgettable. Why would you EVER play her when Killmonger exists.

I've also run her in some bounce lists, she performs just fine in some metas. But yeah Killmonger eats her lunch for the most part.

Elektra should be 1/0: Kill an enemy 1-cost and take their power

My idea was to make Elektra's kill unblockable and give her Jeff's "deploy anywhere" effect. I think if you gave her both of those she'd be really good.

With tokens and gold being obliterated Im wondering what to do now bundle wise. I dont really care about the Phoenix Force BP bundle aside from the 6k tokens, but the bundles for characters I do care about for variants Id want are 5-6k gold and have 0 tokens in them :/

That'd be so fitting too

Adding more unblockables makes the game more complicated to think about without adding much depth. It would add a brand new layer of logic that goes above Armor, Prof X, etc, just for a 1-drop. Sounds like a fun power though, maybe for a 3-drop.

My idea keep Elektra's original gameplay pretty much the same, which is important since it's a tutorial card, but gives her a higher potential and strategy ceiling in the later game (nail a Human Torch or a Kitty on T5)

So anyone know about how many spotlight caches youd need to get all 3 characters and the 3 variants?

So its impossible to go something like this?:

Spotlight 1 character
Random pool 4
Spotlight 2 character
Random pool 4
Spotlight Variant
Random pool 4
etc

yes that's impossible

this week as an example: if you got the random pool 4/5 card box first, your next spotlight cache can only be jean, tribunal, or knull

if the next one is jean, the box after that can only be tribunal or knull, and then the last one will be whichever is left

then the next 4 spotlight caches are the 3 spotlight variants and a random pool 4/5, with the same process as above

Wow Im pleasantly surprised they didnt go maximum predatory with it. I really might just be weird here and hoard my spotlights til late August for Silk, X23 and the Kitty Variant (and Jeff in September) as much as I might like to have new cards like Echo, Mirage, Legion, etc.

I'm really getting sick of Spider Pig, they should've nuked that card in the nerfs

How long until the forced update? Thinking I need to start opening my 110 non-spotlight collector's caches.

I would do it sooner than later. no real reason to keep hoarding them

Hoarding them is not weird at all and the fact that they tell us what will be in each week ahead of time is so that you can plan for when you want to open them. Normal rate of play without buying extra credit is only about 1 spotlight per week

I meant more the characters I was aiming for. Dont think most would consider Silk worth anything, but I want her

I couldve grabbed him at any point since the free pool 3 offer. Ive just never cared to. In fact next season Ill probably grab Juggernaut if I dont have him by then or maybe Bast or Quinjet.

Got my first Spotlight Cache!

I dont have Jean, Knull, or Tribunal, and Im still missing 13 cards that could be pulled Randomly, so I figure Im sure to get a new card!

Accidentally opened a spotlight like a dumb dumb. I got Tribunal which is a new card but now I'm screwed for next week.

I don't play more than just getting my dailies, but I'm really getting burned out on literally every deck I play now being a bounce deck that I can outplay them every single turn with my control deck and still lose because the combos are just too damn strong.

Getting a pixel from a Spotlight sounds soul crushing. Imagine if you could also get 50 tokens from them too

I have laughed at Jean when I could use a Sinister or Brood in my decks to fill up that location instantly. But otherwise she's pretty annoying. I've also clutched out with a good Professor X usage too.

It otherwise it is rough. Worse when paired with Bounce decks and Kitty Pryde combos since they can constantly fill it.

She wouldnt be annoying if they didnt give her such a stupid ass ability! Morag should NOT be a character ability and unfortunately Im running into this dumb character insanely often

Daken looks like a really cool card, glad that's the season pass instead of any of the others coming next season, though at least none of the others seem like they're gonna be duds

Lady Deathstrike is gonna be what takes Bounce down a peg
