It's about the fact that anyone who supports the republican party is supporting large scale hate and discrimination, supporting corruption, and supporting genocide.

You're very lucky.

No I don't. They know my stance and I can easily dismantle all their bullshit, so they don't even try anymore. They just repeat the same talking points that right wing pundits spew, so it's really easy to predict what they're about to say most of the time.

Then there's my grandparents who are immigrants but like they fall for the conservative grifters in their language and there's a language barrier between me and them. However, I don't care because they don't vote anyway so it doesn't matter.

I should also mention that it's not the racism or bigotry that attracts them, it's literally just taxes for them. They're not even wealthy enough for those type of tax cuts anyway so it's pretty ridiculous.

They never want people to just vote, even though that's how they phrase it. If you dig deeper, you realize what they actually mean is "vote for the things *I* want"

Just tell them you voted republican but when you go to vote, just vote democrat.

I cut off those family members, but not because they harass me about how I vote. (Though they do that as well.) I cut those family members off because of the fucking racism lol.

As far as I know, people close to me don't vote Republican. But I do live in CA.

My aunt used too, but I've convinced her otherwise.

No, I think it's counter intuitive. But I don't have any family members or friend that are fully down the rabbit hole. Even if they were, unless they were just spouting racism. Though a family member I spend a lot of time with is against trans enough to turn from voting for Biden to wanting to vote trump, he regrets voting Biden in 2020 and thinks trump would have done a better job. He is also against religion but would rather side with them, then the left over the trans issues. We do have a gay friend and he is respectful and stuff but is also against gays to an extent.
