Well i was the one originally pinged in the topic and had the idea floated to me and was low key looking forward to hanging out with everyone but on a whim i just end up excluded oh well.

Nah that's not how it was. I plan on having many nights. If it makes you feel better you can set the first day just so you are there opening night. I don't mind that.

Well the thing is there are going to be several nights and no one is expected to have perfect attendance. Would it make you feel better if you did have perfect attendance? So it's always Chris and red and friends? I don't mind I am just bad at organizing tbh so I was just trying to grab days that worked for a lot of people a lot of the time but if it makes you feel excluded I don't mind changing my philosophy. That's totally fine with me tbh as you are a big part of why I started it.

What's the next day that works for you?

We switch it to Saturday then?

Saturdays and Sundays don't work for me I raid those nights.

It does matter. You misunderstood my intent and I misunderstood what you wanted. That's all. I am not very good at organizing and am trying to organize things. You felt excluded which wasn't the intention. So now you aren't being excluded cso lmk what days work for you and I will schedule around that.

This friday is my birthday so I wouldn't have made this one even if it was gonna happen. I have to once again assert my dominance by being older than Chris and briefly older than Red before he catches up in a couple weeks.

Anyway, i have no idea what i am supposed to have misunderstood.

The premise started with wanting to get our friendship rolling again, group games, you floated wavelength. It predated this topic by like a week or so.

Then this topic. Big. But important part is a short segment, i get tagged, it mentions the aforementioned group thing, once a month. Sounds cool, i mention my d&d on fridays, aside the obvious baseball work the only thing I'm really commited to.

Then randomly on a whim game is going on friday. I dont want to guesstimate what is in your head. But you know, we were best friends for what felt like forever. I figured getting back to that with this was the start of the whole initial premise. I guess this is what i supposedly misunderstood. I dont get it.

Regardless of being included after or not, this just kind of stings, a lot. I've said this before, but it sometimes used to feel in your ego driven ways that your standing on b8 or wherever came before friendship.

This was a bit of a painful reminder. Like. I miss most of my old friend groups, a lot. And this just kind of piled on to the sting.

Then just trying to put some of the "misunderstanding" on me and then including me after the fact doesn't change the feelings.

I'm the one who brought up Friday because I didn't read/ didn't remember everyone's stated availability at the beginning of the topic and was gonna go through days of the week until we landed on one where everyone can make it. The first suggestion was never meant to be the right one, but was trying to get the ball rolling.

Okay, well as someone who has been to therapy I can't change your feelings but I think I understand, red. I am truly sorry you feel that way, but everyone forgets things and I even said I could be the one to misunderstand. If you want to take it this way I also understand, because I thought you would be down once a month whereas I might be available, say, twice a month since I too miss my old friend groups and I too have been isolated for a few years now due to being incredibly sick and low energy.

I'll just be emotionally honest, I understand your pain but I've been through a lot too. I don't really have much of an ego anymore, although I still cry over a lot of trauma in my life. I know you only see a little bit of me, just as I only see a little bit of you, but I've had actually a really shitty few years. Every day constant pain. I was very close to ending things many times, a thing no one knew. I am trying to accomplish multiple things in this thread.

Your feelings are valid, but I can't really do anything about them other than explain myself fully. What was in my head was 'I haven't actually hung out with board 8ers outside of board 8 in literal years. Red's not available this week but that's okay, I'll be sure to be available whenever he is.'

You tell me that hurts you, I go 'oh okay, then my mistake I thought once a month for you would be cool, but you want to make sure to be there for us to share time, yeah no problem if that's important to you I think that's fair and I am down.'

I am pretty much an imperfect human, I can't know exactly what's on your mind. The misunderstanding being mine is completely fine, it wasn't meant to be blaming of you or anyone, just that misunderstandings can be corrected because there was no intent to exclude meaningfully. If my lack of foresight and thought hurt you, well I am sorry they did.

I miss my old friend groups too, buddy. No one has reached out to me for a very long time (or hadn't before recently) for I am sure their own reasons. I promise you aren't the only one hurting here. Take your time, and know you are always welcome by my side because I love you like a brother and I am genuinely sorry so many things in my life got in the way of our friendship these past years. You're valid, I understand more than you probably know, and it's okay to be hurt by this. I can't make your feelings go away, only express earnestly that I just didn't understand where you were coming from here.

I had low expectations of people prioritizing me because I have PTSD and abandonment issues and I thought if I swung low I wouldn't cry in my bed at night.

Sometimes the things I project are not about any of you, but my own issues and life experiences, red.

Like I get why you might take it as me putting an expectation or lack thereof on you, but really I'm just in my own head and cautious about asking for too much from people.

In brighter news for the topic though, mafia is going well for me. On FOL after I died n1 in a mountainous game town won in a really epic, last second vote in f3 and it was super amazing and well played.

Mzero is in a game that has 6/13 people alive, and I am sure he is doing his best and might discuss it once it ends.

MU is going well too. Having fun.

Also just as I think an obvious fyi to everyone, my ego about board 8 in the past was armor of a young man who was dealing with his mother dying and a lot of mental health issues all collapsing in on him. This place allowed me to believe for brief spurts that I wasn't completely messed up, that I had some positive traits in this world, that I was allowed to be liked, and like any kid who doesn't know what to do with being liked because he never thought he would be I did a lot of wrong things and said a lot of stupid shit.

I am sorry I put some of you through a lot because I was messed up, but I'm getting a lot better now tbh. Like, immensely better since a switch in my medication. I'm not even very serious in mafia anymore I'm just balling lol. People in other places comment that it's pretty obvious I am in a better place than I have been in a long time, and I am glad others can see it.

It is also why I am not afraid of putting down my armor and being emotionally honest. When I visited board 8 for a long, long time I was still the same friendless, extremely mentally ill 16 year old just trying to find his place. I returned to that persona a lot here. Well past its expiration date.

That's guy is dead now, and I am better for it tbh. Some of that was who I was, I like to think most of the best parts. Since my change in medicine I don't really get like, angry anymore lol. I used to get annoyed and angry a lot. Turns out medication can just fix that.

But anyway red you are so important to me now that I know I skill issue'd this circumstance I'll just wait for you to tell me when you are free, hopefully in advance. If you're not there, I'll just chill by myself.

I would literally, at this stage of my life, be by myself (well, online anyway I've got a partner lol) than do things without you with you feeling like you are being excluded. And if you don't want to do it, fine plans canceled we'll just chill in this topic I don't mind. I aint doing shit that's going to make you feel bad anymore, at least intentionally can't promise no skill issues.

not sure that i have all that much to contribute in the way of anime that isn't fairly mainstream, but I suppose I could through my two cents in on Jojo's Bizarre Adventure if you've ever had an inkling to try it. It's got that fun battle shounen vibes combined with other genres as you move forward (gothic/dracula, indiana jones adventure, road trip, weird town with yokai, mob movie, prison break, western). with an interesting power system to boot

yeah, i get that. i've not been watching much anime recently, except for the one new jujutsu kaisen episode per week (and the Gear 5 episode of one piece tomorrow!!). My friends sometimes make me watch the new Bleach episodes but that show really does not excite me

anyway kind of a bad day for me, had a (minor, but still) meltdown in a mafia game on a site I don't normally play at. Just... a lot of people that irk me and don't talk in the way that I feel they need to in order to play the game the right away. Can't say more due to it being on going even if it is likely no one from there would ever even visit this site, but yeah. I cooled down and got over it and will add some people to my black list going forward just because like I don't know how to play with certain types of people anymore I guess.

Sucks though because I was hyped tbh

So I played a game as a Heracross day 1. I hammered scum. It was honestly the most real thing ever lmao.

Cubs took 2/3 from Atlanta. Which is awesome.

I have been getting good sleep lately and one piece 1071 was drawn out but also very hype. Luffy at his peak what more is there to say.

I have begun work on my mafia game - Sir Chris and the Mafiaverse of Madness - I think the ideas I have are at least interesting.

Yesterday, the 7th, kind of had a rough ending with my internet being wonky for awhile when I would normally post a little bit here, AND the Cubs lost. Monday was kind of a meh day but I've had worse.

Yeah very true.

Really grateful for my new routine of medicine tbh. It's been great having a lot of mental clarity and physical vigor back after a long time. I am still not all the way there but I feel like a much calmer and energetic person now. So that's really just nice.
