Hello, it's me, Chris.

I turned 36 years old on the 14th of this month and boy my life has been a bit of a ride since... well, since I first came here 20 years ago!

I have a lot of health problems, a lot of mental health problems, a lot of relationship problems, and also I am not a very good dancer.

But I am keeping those vague unless someone asks, because I don't want to trauma dump/overshare.

However, I have been feeling much better after a revamp of my medication, a reinvigorating of my self-respect, and some very difficult and at times tragic conversations with people who expressed love for me but who did not show it in their actions in a manner that satisfied my new status as 'Not a self-loathing piece of shit."

Plus, when all else fails board 8 has always been here to pick me back up. But, in a twist, kind of feel like I did that myself this time and that's nice, so this topic is a daily 'whatever the fuck I am doing, or want to say, I'll say it.' had an AI topic and I beat the first game, but then I got distracted which is fine. I liked the distractions, but a singular topic for me isn't going to go well. I also see BOLO and SHINE and LEON have their own topics. So here's mine.

Also I am easy to find on board 8, I hope if I don't post once a day at some point someone will poke me on discord and ask 'hey are you ok' because if I forget this topic and it's like 10pm I probably didn't have a good day, and I could use a friendly reach out. Whoo not allowing myself to isolate by being vulnerable with my chosen community.

On the docket of life:

I am in 3 mafia games, but I can talk about 0 because that's how mafia works. Having fun though!
I am in between Anime, here's a mostly accurate MAL list if you want to suggest something. I prefer dubs so I can multitask easier but a good Subbed anime is ok.

I am currently a weekend raider in WoW and I spend time every day crafting items for people for gold. It's satisfying and pleases a part of my brain to do this while I work on other things.

I am usually either listening to political youtubers or random assortments of music when I am doing things. I have been homebound for awhile now due to not feeling well enough to go out a lot but today I went for a 30 minute walk, worked up a sweat in the Georgia heat, and feel tired but good! Major progress for me.

Video games wise besides Warcraft I started Tales of Arise but got distracted by the things I don't regret, but when I feel like playing my PS4 that's next up.

Oh, and I'd love it if we could establish some sort of board 8 group to play games from like 7pm-2-3am on like, a random Friday at least once a month or maybe more. Or other days that aren't weekends work really well for me! @red13n @Leafeon13N expressed an interest in getting people together, so if anyone reading this likes hanging out with the both of us you should see if you're down for some internet game stuff. I miss doing that.

Oh, and I am also looking for steady employment because money sucks right now, see 'health and mental health issues' and 'US policy on healthcare' in your local library for more details, so if anyone who reads this knows of something involving writing and editing or could put in a word, feel free to let me know. I am apparently unskilled at finding work, or applying to jobs that fit what I want to do is actually a literal hell and people don't want to pay a living wage. This or that.

I am not as tough as I have made myself seen in the past tbh, I wore a lot of armor here and elsewhere because I have been hurt a lot in my life. Trying to undo that, and since Board 8 is my internet home, this is an amazing place to continue that journey.

Also I'm Bi. That doesn't really matter and maybe everyone knew I forget, but I have a little pride flag thing on MU so I thought to tell everyone here. Also don't mind they/them or he/him pronouns at all. Complicated stuff, but it is fun to know more about yourself.

Friday was just an idea since it works for me, it might not work for red as much as that's a usual baseball day but I am flexible! I played this game called wavelength with some people and had a huge blast, would love to do that in a chat or something.

Hope you get through them. My partner has traumas that I totally understand but we reached a point where she wasn't being healthy for either of us and so I set up some much needed emotional boundaries yesterday. Weight lifted off my shoulders tbh

Oh I only just noticed the change from Friday.

For me it's literally only Friday that I can afford to stay up late.

6 AM work M-F and then church on Sunday means Saturday is the only day I can sleep in

Thursdays or Mondays are probably 'okay' but it would be with a hard out at like 9 PM (times in PST)

Hey Chris, glad to hear you're doing well. You're one of those names I've known for over half my life but I'm not sure we've really exchanged more than a few convos over the years.
I'd down to try to join in a game night sometime, been meaning to get a bit more back into gaming. I'm like a 10/10 on the flakey scale though, so prob won't quite be a regular!

And hope you're able to pull yourself out of that abyss BCT. My personal abyss pulling-out-of was helped by ditching most of the internet.

Trust me, that helped me stay out of the darkest places for a while. I avoid toxicity and have ditched things I've realized are toxic. Ditching Twitter and reducing Reddit helped a lot.

But thanks to you both! It's going to take some time and effort, but I know I can do it.

lmao, right? I've been coming here for longer than half of mine. I have an entire lengthy baseball career of years in this place. Yeah, just pop in and let me know! Also people should give suggestions. I know jack int he box and I played wavelength which was super fun, I'll see if there is an easy internet version of that one.

If people have Switches, Mario Kart and Smash free for alls can be a lot of fun!

@PunishedBen I think I am beating the corrik allegations that I am a board 8 flash in the pan LMAO.

Anyway one of my mafia games was hammered early and I died in the other, so no real mafia today. Instead we give thanks to Raisin Bran. Good cereal tbh.

Feel a little sore from my exercise yesterday which is to be expected. Probably will stay inside today and ease up on the physical activity. I have the energy now, but my body needs a lot of work.

I made some money today already, keeping the lights on as it were, so that's a little bit less stress as well. It's good when I can get most of the business-y stuff out of the way early on.

I am going to runs some dungeons in wow today. They have a new system where you can upgrade gear and my guild is on a dps progression boss so I am trying to eek out every last little bit of dps upgrades before saturday. Mages are very good on that fight and we only have one mage and they suck, so that's unfortunate.
