I don't think I could. If I don't eat for a while I got severe headaches.

Yep. 16:8, first meal at noon, second meal around 7pm. I'm only super strict with it when I'm trying to lose weight though. The rest of the time I have a little bit of wiggle room.

Used to do eat once every 24 hours for 1 year or so. Its good but still have to have a calorie deficit. Abandoned this.

Now Im doing a eat once every 48 hours, and when I eat its keto. Never felt this good before. only like 18 lbs overweight now, 193 lbs when my BMI says for my height I shouldn't be over 175.

It is a decent tool if someone needs help sticking to their diet. Having the "I can ONLY eat during this window" is a pretty good motivator to get rid of snacking.

Well done for getting your weight down but honestly that sounds terrible.

Yes and it helped me lose 30 lbs so far. But studies have shown that it literally doesnt help you burn more at all. You just simply trick yourself into eating less because you have a time frame lol

Is it intermittent fasting if some days I gorge myself and other days I forget to eat completely until it's midnight and I feel like dying?

Pretty much this.

There is no actual scientific basis behind it for losing weight/health reasons, but it's great for habit forming when comes to actually eating. If you can sustain it that is. I'd personally never do it.

Yes. I typically eat lunch around 2:00 to 2:30 PM, and supper around 7:30 PM.

Though Ive fallen into cheat nights on Friday and Saturday, which is about the only time I watch anything, where I will watch a movie with a bowl of popcorn and snack.

Im down another 10 pounds or so despite that. My highest ever was 257, and I hovered around 235 for years after that. Now Im down to about 190. By BMI I should weigh 156 but I think Id probably be OK around 165.

16:8 works for me, but Ive found that the key is to go for at least a few weeks without a cheat day. Its harder now that I have two young kids and not a good routine. But Im like 162 at my heaviest and 148 at my most lean so weight loss isnt majorly important to me.

I've tried to refrain from snacking and usually restrict my eating to two (large) meals per day. I feel like it has had a positive impact toward my health overall. One unintended benefit has been my teeth - I didn't realize that one of the main reasons dental problems occur is due to the change in natural oral pH levels. People who snack or drink (things apart from water) all day will never give their mouth time to reacclimate to its natural pH level. Per my dentist: if you're gonna eat an enormous bag of candy, it's way better to just down it all in one sitting rather than snack on it all day.

My teeth and gums are the healthiest they've ever been, so I'm gonna try to maintain this routine for as long as I can.

Interesting. Im a big snacker and have had issues with bleeding gums despite flossing every day. Maybe this is why. Its mostly under control now though.

yeah but not the right way. I'd eat a bunch of junk before bed, skip breakfeast, then eat at least 1500 calories for lunch.

then go home and get the munchies and eat more junk food

Ive went down from 40 to 36 jeans, and technically 34 as one pair of 36s had the ass split and I replaced it with a 34. But if I just feel my belly in my hands, it fills them the same as it has for years. Maybe the weight is leaving from elsewhere, I dunno.

It's my natural eating habit. So yeah. I just don't get hungry during the day usually. If I do happen to, I'll have a snack but it's pretty rare.
