Yeah, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE A BEAR, which is the whole basis for loli styled characters that are legitimately not children. From how this whole thing is always treated the other way around, no one ever accepts the explanation that "the demon/dragon/etc. is just taking the form of a loli, but their "true form" is actually an adult" so why are we letting Baldur get away with it? Whatever you want to call it, this would never fly for an anime themed game; there would be arguments about how the artists chose that form, & could have made it more of an adult looking human.

No one complains about it, because the art style makes everyone cute. Sure, I prefer the older art style, I think that's because I grew up with the Back to Nature / 64 versions so there's a bit of nostalgia bias there.

I was under the impression that the cheering was mostly for the courage it took to do that. People saw that scene and thought "wow, they knew this would be really controversial and they did it anyway." Not so much "omg I always wanted to have sex with a bear!"
