Even the cushiest of jobs can seem overbearing if the boys keep giving you unwanted ass slaps at work. I'm generalizing here, but even if how "overbearing" it was is, actually, blown out of proportion it doesn't dismiss the rest just yet. Even remarks wear on the nerves over time.

You don't know which employees made said statement, was it one off comment, was it different people?
Was every statement from a different person, was it the same person?

If she feels she has a case, by all means, bring it up to the Canadian Goverment.

I don't understand how it's so hard to just be fucking professional. It isn't hard. I've worked at an international company for 10 years now. I've had no complaints, no one has screamed at me, no one has insulted me (aside from my friends but I've known them since high school), no one has groped me, sexually assaulted me, nothing. I've been stressed from time to time (as is the life of a software engineer), but even then I was told by the CTO that I can always take time to rest up and come back with a clearer head, to no detriment to my career.

It's absurd. Don't fucking say "calm your tits" to a coworker or employee. Don't touch anyone. Don't insult someone's mental health. It's that, fucking, simple.

She has every right to do so.

Many of you in this topic are the reason why cultures of workplace abuse and sexual harassment persist. You are primed to see enduring unacceptable behavior as a badge of honor, normal, or toughening and to regard people who try to end it as weak, complainers, or liars. The environment described here is not normal, those actions are not standard in a professional context, and they range from destructive to outright illegal.

The reason people don't report is because of reactions like the ones you've given in this topic and fear of losing their jobs they worked so hard to get. Imagine being an Internet denizen, learning about and watching the legendary LTT, gaining the skills to work there, getting selected to work there at all, much less as one of the few women, and then realizing it's a hell hole. You'd still want to stick around to keep a roof over your head and to try to salvage your dream, and that may not be possible if you speak up about what's going on.

Iirc it was alleged that it was a kid who won the NCIX Tech Tips YouTube play button at the NCIX liquidation auction because his channel got fucked out of its own due to shit with a MCN.

Linus asked to buy it from them because he ran the channel. They agreed to sell it, but after the fact found out what the reason the kid wanted the button in the first place.

He offered to give it up to them, not sure what happened after that. Allegedly ltt fans harassed the kid on his YouTube channel which yeah I could see happening, but I don't think we have actual evidence of it having happened.

There are some people in here that have definitely done some of these things from their replies.
