But it is pretty fucked up that Putin's covering over the Wagner graves w/ cement. Those dudes died fighting for your regime before the revolt even happened. It's just so fucking needlessly and pointlessly petty.
But they are rapists and torturers and murderers, so having their graves desecrated doesn't really bother me.

Yes, they have plenty. But a) more is always welcome and b) it was more about preventing Europe from getting a nearby non-Russian source of them so Russia could maintain its stranglehold on the market. Which hilariously, the invasion already fucked up for them.

You said Putin invaded Ukraine because he just wants to have it. This sounds like ego. And means that Putin is willing to kill to satisfy his ego.

Putin doesn't think he will lose everything. He just wants Ukraine. He feels Ukraine belongs to him and he won't give it up even if the entire world turns on him. He'll sacrifice millions of his own people because he believes Ukraine belongs to him.

I believe he feared Ukraine joining nato , that makes sense because that would be a problem for him with other enemy countries he has , even if him wanting to have Ukraine is the case too I dont think thats the main motive for his impulse and doing something that drastic. The point is he already lost support from all around the world and many people from his own country

putin isn't actually scared of nations joining nato considering nato a strictly defensive alliance that hasn't ever started a war. there is no universe in which nato would invade nuclear armed russia as an aggressor, and putin knows this. he just uses nato as a scapegoat. he has likened himself to peter the great and expressed that he wants the russian empire back and wishes the soviet union never fell. empire building is his only motivation in this conflict and the others he has started throughout the years

that is an interesting point and i have never heard it expressed like that but i can buy it. putin knowing he can't invade an actual nato country is definitely true.

i really wish the russian public or even the elites would depose putin and replace him with someone that would end the war and stop trying to empire build. considering the hardliners that putin surrounds himself with it seems unlikely, but would be very cool to get a non warmongering psycho in charge of russia for once

Saying that every Russian supports Putin is like saying that every American supports Donald Trump. They are far from being unanimously supported.

Honestly I feel like it's most likely just proof that Russia's border is practically undefended, which wouldn't be crazy. They have an unbelievable amount of border to monitor with no real military or technological means of monitoring most of it. Then once you get inside it's nearly all rural farmland and tundra outside the cities where a random car could drive for hours in any direction without anyone even noticing.
