I am curious if this is common or not. My gf and I are going on a trip soon, and she was telling me how she told her mom that she would be having a ton of sex. And more details Ill leave out.

Is it normal to talk to your parents about your sex life?

I literally never talk to my parents about sex. That seems just super weird and uncomfortable to me.

They know I have a biological daughter with my wife and can assume how that happened, but thats about it.

God no. That would be extremely awkward for me. But I know some people are very close to their parents and talk to them about any and everything

No because it's not their business.

Twice I told my parents my wife and I were having a baby.

That's where any sex talk with my parents began or ended.

It would take me awhile to think of something I would rather do less than talk to my parents about my sex life.

Nope, my sex life is between me and my partner, I don't discuss it with anyone let alone parents

My parents talk to me about mine

Never like, outwardly inappropriate stuff, just reminders to use protection and the like, at least my Mom.

I have a vivid memory as a teenager of my Dad being exuberant about having just had phone sex. So, I don't talk to him about it anymore.

No, I never had -that- talk with them either. That also would have been awkward and weird when I was a kid. Most kids figure that stuff out themselves.

There's nothing to tell them, but even there was... No, God no. Never.

Absolutely not. I have never talked about my sex life with my mother. Its none of her business.

On the flip side of things, my brother tells us all about what he and his wife do. It's so embarrassing and I hate it.

Sounds like a fun time. I mean going to Wales, not the conversation with your mom, obviously.

Well, it typically took me about four hours to get there by rail (I made the trip a few times) and the fares weren't cheap. Also, it always meant an overnight stay in a hotel since none of us had our own place. But it had its compensations for a while. When I told my mother why I was going, she got so upset I never told her again for her own peace of mind.
