Yeah they really fucked all the old side characters in 6 except Akiyama. And the boss is at least better than Y5 lmao

Probably why they want Majima to show up in Man With No Name, but I think he doesn't have a big role there either. I just hope we fight him again.

Alright finally beat the game. The ending was alright, but the whole game definitely didn't feel like a send off to Kiryu. It kinda just feels like after they wrote the whole story and rendered it, someone came in and was like "what if this was Kiryu's last game tho?" and changed the last 10 minutes of the story to set it like that lol.

I did like the story and world and the send off was *fine* but it just seemed kinda random >_>

Also, no Haruka's Trust? I know it wouldn't make any sense, but neither did Haruka's Trust in Yakuza 5 either >_> Yet that still happened.

I guess closing thoughts. Overall I actually really did like this game a lot. The dragon engine looks gorgeous, Onomichi was a fun place, and all the side activities and substories were awesome. My only complaint is that the combat is really simple and kinda sucks compared to the other games, Kamurocho being cut down a bit sucks, and the last act of the story was Yakuza 4 levels of dumb >_>

Now I finally played all the mainline games, and I'm ready for Gaiden in a couple of months! If I had to rank them all so far:

0 > 7 > 5 > 4 > K2 > 6 > 3 > Ishin > K1

Will I do a porntastic playthrough of Yakuza 7? Maybe.... I do want to replay it for PC but it won't be for a while. I want to rest up for Gaiden and don't want to burn out before it launches.

Plus I kinda want to play the Judgment games after Gaiden and idk if they're porntastic or not like the Yakuza games >_> I know they have this funny arrest animation but that's all I know about them

Haven't gotten to those games yet, but definitely play the Judgment games, they're pretty good from what I hear! Also pretty fun to watch combos from those games, they look more refined than Kiryu's Dragon Engine gameplay at least. Also Lost Judgment has the funniest heat action ever:

Judgment is absolutely worth playing someday. I was hesitant at first for some reason, but the story of the first game is really interesting! Sure there are some not so great choices for gameplay and I feel like Lost Judgment often times feels more like a Yakuza game with refined combat (this isn't really a criticism but I just felt more like a detective in the first game). That game feels really special and has great characters.

There's definitely a level or horny in those games too I just thought of some stuff hehe

Anyone know how long the Gaiden game is? I know it's not a fully fledged game but it's gotta be longer than just some DLC right?

both judgment games are 10/10 if you like yakuza. they're kinda long though so be prepared for a journey.

School stuff is fun. I wound up liking the dancing story quite a bit haha it is a direct sequel to Judgment so I wouldn't recommend skipping the first one though.

It's worse. They designed this as his finale from the get-go, but ran out of dev time to make it actually meaningful.

Judgment games are 10000% worth playing. Good characters, good story, great fighting.

I don't remember who it was that said it, but Judgement is really good, though the fighting styles are clearly favored in one direction. HOWEVER, instead of fixing it in Lost Judgement they just made everything broken as fuck which is 10x more fun.

There's also a substantial sized DLC side game after Lost Judgment - Kaito Files. I'm finishing Kaito Files now then I'll have played every Yakuza besides the inaccessible ones and be ready for Gaiden.

Ya you can wait for Judgment they are still in their own world, but do happen around the time of Yakuza: Like a Dragon era iirc.

Absolutely great games though, they have some favorite characters of mine.

Yeah you've already played 7 before so there won't be any spoilers, but the official timeline is Judgment -> 7 -> Lost Judgment kinda focuses on a major world plot point from 7 which is really cool cause you get to see how the "world" as a whole is effected by those events as opposed to someone that is in the smack dab middle of it.

I played the Kaito Files just a month ago. I never got around to it and I saw it was half off. It was very good but it wasn't long. I remember just bumming around town just seeing what I can find through his heightened senses ( I missed a cat oh well) and soaking in the atmosphere again.

Wish the story was longer for the initial asking price it's high for about several hours of gameplay ( I didn't do the super Amon fight w/e because I never care about those). But if you really focused and just did the main story it could be beat in an evening :/
