I'm sure I've forgotten one or two, so that's what Other is for!

I'm a sucker for Pierce who got a raw deal with movies, but honestly Dalton is probably the best. Who also got shafted.

I expect Pierce to win because of Goldeneye.

Dalton showed the range from cool and suave ladies man to smoldering ruthlessness better than anyone else. It's a shame his entries weren't better.

Even though there's only two, they are both fantastic entries in the series at least. Brosnan has Goldeneye and that's about it. Though I would say, Tomorrow Never Dies is a LOT more prescient than it should have been. Someone manipulating the media to gain profits at the expense of the world is something we all have seen become a reality. I think it would do better on a rewatch.

I also really like TWINE, though people don't. Die Another Day is the worst by far however. Just an awful, awful movie.

Brosnan is probably the best overall combo. Dalton and Lazenby are incredibly underrated. Moores movies are probably my favorites.

I should say it's a shame his entries weren't better received, leading to a better run for Dalton.

I think there was a lot more going on behind the scenes too, with the franchise in a weird purchasing limbo and no one knowing what was going on. IIRC Dalton was supposed to be in Goldeneye too, which would have been an interesting take. Not sure how it would have done with him instead of Brosnan.

I am partial to Roger Moore. He had some ridiculous movies and I loved the villain Jaws.

Brosnan was by far my least favorite. Voted Connery cause he's who I first think of.

Moore is my favorite, though a lot of that may be virtue of his movies generally being my favorites. Dalton or Lazenby was probably the best, IMO.

They still moving forward with an Idris Elba Bond? I gotta say, I'm interested to see how that turns out.

I think this is heavily dependent on your age or whether you watched the Connery movies as a kid vs. Brosnan. I saw Brosnan so that's the image I attach the name to.

I mean, it's obviously Connery vs. Brosnan.

Voted for Connery, because Brosnan sadly reminds me of "Die another day", and that's the most bullshit Bond movie ever.

I liked Roger Moore's movies da best. They're fun and campy like they're supposed to be, compared to the serious takes today.

Yeah, it feels like he's kinda forgotten amongst the Bond actors. I loke Brosnan, but Dalton is right up there too.

Unlikely, the man is 51. I would think they'd prefer someone younger who can play the role for a while. Craig started in his 30s and stopped around 50 (remember that No Time to Die got delayed for quite a while)

Yeah, they probably "learned their lesson" with Roger Moore.

Not to say he wasn't a great Bond, just that... times have changed. He was embarrassed to learn he was older than Tanya Roberts' mother at the time, and that's amusing. But nowadays such an age difference would go beyond amusing into serious backlash. You couldn't get away with a 50 year old Bond sexing up a 20 year old girl in the 2020s.

yup, glad Dalton is getting love. much deserved. he really fit the part and played it well. i gotta also agree that Lazenby was just perfect for that movie, and i'm glad he didn't do more to ruin that.

though i think Brosnan did an incredible job recreating new iconic mannerisms for Bond. the way he sat, the way he would stare, his little face remarks. i think that type of Bond played well, especially for the times. he's definitely the most overall charismatic of the bunch.

thumbs down on Moore and Craig for me. didn't like their portrayals, and not really a fan of most of their movies either.

I liked Craig but I really did not like Moore's movies. TMWTGG is like, the only one of his I find tolerable.
