The weekly protest march against Netanyahu's court reforms have been cancelled and the organizers are encouraging the protesters to join up to serve in the military.

Really, the most strategically useful action would be for Israel to call Gaza's bluff, and grant full independence, then quickly lock down the border like Egypt does. Then, rockets being fired into Israel are no long occupied people spouting off, but an actual act of war.

It's going to suck for indifferent Gazans who work in Israel, but that could be worked around eventually.

Hamas or whoever would represent Gaza would not accept an independence treaty that includes only the Gaza strip as their territory, so your post strikes me as not very useful.

Merkava is arguably a better tank than even Abrams, because it flips the chassis around and uses the entire engine block as armor.
US involvement won't be much, especially with an administration that doesn't like Netanyahu that well.

Current reporting is that over 500 Israelis have been killed in rocket attacks and citizens are being kidnapped from their homes and being taken over into gaza. Iran has openly declared that they are in support of the Palestinian fighters and will be with them until the end. There's no double standard at this point. This is a full-on invasion and declaration of war by hamas.

Speaking of hypocrisy..what would you do in situation? Its really hard to make peace with your neighbor, when they keep shooting at you. Especially when they do it during your religious holidays.

I think most people have their head up their asses with the whole Israel and Hamas thing.

Hamas continues to be the aggressor here. And like, sure, you could try to reframe them as freedom fighters, but it's really about at the same level as labeling Al Qaeda freedom fighters.

Obviously, this doesn't by default make all of Israel's actions good and justified (they have a very loose "human right's violation" finger), but I'm not sure what you expect a nation that's in the process of being invaded to do. I'm not sure how you want a nation to respond to repeated terrorist attacks on civilian lands. It's just baffling that people don't take like two seconds of consideration here.

Sure. Some Israelis do get along with Palestinians.

Doesn't change the fact that Israel, as a point of policy, sees Hamas and Palestine as the same entity, and any conflict with the organization is the same as a conflict with the people as a whole.

I'm not referring to them as people, but as two distinct political bodies with agendas and policy goals they're trying to achieve. And one of those political bodies doesn't make a distinction between the terrorists and the people whose houses they bulldoze and annex.
