Bane_Of_Despair (14) - There's always gotta be the starter that's the most outwaedly chipper of the bunch, and yea makes sense to make a bunny starter the one! Can't really fuck this one up, it's a cute fire bunny that has a bandage on its nose. It just works!
NFUN (18) - It has charisma. Clean design of a happy bunny with a slightly cliched nose bandage that still fits with the overall look
Inviso (19) - It's never a good sign when I like the NFE more than the FE, but Scorbunny's just the cutest of the three starters.
Paratroopa1 (19) - fuck why am I so basic
andylt (62) - New Snap boosted my opinion of Scorbunny, but there's still something offputting about its cereal-mascot-looking ass.

I probably ranked it too low, but I also don't care. That whole line sucks.

Lame that Inteleon is one of the top two starters.

Didn't think fire would be so weak! And Blaziken barely edged out Grovyle for that top spot.

well there goes the last good pokemon remaining

on my overall favourite Pokemon list, I placed Scorbunny at 97. I love rabbits. They're so cute! Hard to fuck it up, really. Even Cinderace and Raboot which I ranked many places lower are still alright in my book. But man, Scorbunny is just a cute and energetic lil guy.

mnk (1) - I really like the color scheme on this one. Just a really cool, kinda creepy, slithery octopus wrestler.
Bane_Of_Despair (6) - I still don't really get why this thing is pure Fighting as opposed to Fighting/Water, but it's still cool. An fighting octopus that has a natural mask on and comes out to land specifically to find people to fight and then fucks back off into the sea after is sick. I think this was the main Pokemon that wasn't in my main party on my playthrough but I wish it was.

andylt (11) - Yeah this thing looks like it'd fuck you up, exactly what a fighting octopus should look like. Could've been a dual type- water, dark, poison, but it's still cool.
PrinceOfKoopas (18) - Octolock is a cool move, but Grapploct's actual stats aren't designed for it.
DragonGargoyle (20) - Wrestler octopus is genius concept
hotdogturtle (23) - A victim of looking really cool but being functionally useless.
Inviso (44) - I like Fighting-types, but why did this need to be a pure Fighting-type? There are SO many mono-types this Gen that it irritates me.
Paratroopa1 (49) - I like his color scheme a lot
Luster Soldier (60) - Another one of those Pokemon whose typing doesnt fully reflect the design here. Fighting type is very apparent in the design, but this thing not having a secondary Water type is odd with the design based around an octopus. It even has access to plenty of Water type moves.

In-game Scorbunny drove me nuts because he did the same hopping in place animation on an endless loop.

I think it would've been more fun if, lore-wise, Grapploct lived in a more urban environment. Like they live down in sewers, crawl out in search of opponents, and then slink back down the storm drains once they've had their fill of beating people up.

Paratroopa1 (2) - if you know me a little bit, you know I love birds. if you REALLY know me, you know that I love beautiful moths just as much but Im also very scared of them irl because my brain sucks
Luster Soldier (3) - Cute moth with a beautiful looking design. Ice/Bug is a really cool typing though, with it and Snom being the first ever Pokemon with this typing.
mnk (7) - Ooh, so elegant. Ice/Bug is a dreadful typing, but I did my best to use this thing on my team.
Inviso (10) - It's slow and weak, but for a Bug-type, the design is pretty, and Bug/Ice is a unique typing, which I'm all here for.
Raka_Putra (11) - Regal but useless

Bane_Of_Despair (35) - The other truly elegant Pokemon of this generation, and another where the typing, Bug on this one, is not usually one I care for too much. But this one is done very well, even if it has double weaknesses to multiple things.
NFUN (50) - Destroyer of magnificence. Despicable
PrinceOfKoopas (54) - It wishes it was as good as Volcarona.

Nah Frosmoths can be boys too

Frosmoth was actually really good in competitive for a few weeks when Teal Mask dropped, as it played really well with Baxcalibur+Alolan Ninetales

I definitely thought Frosmoth was making top 5

Congrats to the Dreepy line

I wish it was just Galarian Volcarona stat-wise, though I guess at that point they would've just made it a regional form. At least don't make it another slow Ice type. (And this one isn't even bulky!)

OrangeCrush980 (1) - In every other generation so far, the starter I chose in my first playthrough went on to be my favorite overall. There's definitely been close calls over the years, but it's held through for every gen except this one! I chose Scorbunny in my first playthrough since it looked cute while the other two starters seemed derpy. But it turns out that the derpy Sobble and emo Drizzile grow up into fricking James Bond. When I saw Leon send this out against me and start Snipe Snotting my Pokemon, I didn't even realize it was a starter, just that it was a really badass Pokemon. Now that I know it's a starter, I regret that I chose the soccer rabbit instead.
Inviso (8) - I like the Snipe Shot ability, and Inteleon looks cool pulling it off. I think it'd be better as a dual-type though.
XIII_Rocks (12) - This definitely got elevated due to how great its G-Max form is.
Bane_Of_Despair (13) - Inteleon is a smooth operator, going from the timid little lizard to a cool collected reptile who becomes a god damn HITMAN in its Gigantamax form. Again, it's super ridiculous but I really dig it.
Paratroopa1 (29) - Im good for a sexy lizard in tights and all but its teetering on the edge of being too humanoid even for me, the way it runs is uncanny

mnk (64) - It's grown on me somewhat, but I still can't say I'm a fan.
andylt (65) - Why is it so thin and humanoid? I don't care for it.

Okay well. If my #73 makes the top 10, this top 10 sucks. Regardless of the rest. The remaining "the rest" isn't good enough anymore to counter balance that.

Also this is much better than I was expecting Inteleon to do. Most other western communities loathe it (to this day) and it had an intensely negative reaction during the first week or two of release. Was anticipating it going out in the bottom half, tbh.

Inteleon is my #1, but it's extremely close between it and my #2, so it's more like I have two #1-2s than a clear #1 and #2.
