I always go for the aisle seat. I dont like climbing over people if i have to go to the can.

Same with sporting events, for the same reason.

Window. Lavatories are basically unusable for me anyway at the size I'm at (and even before that was the case, I'd much rather just do my business before boarding the plane anyway) and I'd rather not have to get up every time the guy next to me needs to go.

Good luck holding it on on a 12+ hour flight.

Window. I'm skinny enough where I've never had a problem with leg room or squeezing past people.

I have never been on a 12+ hour flight and likely never will be, so...

Even then, really wouldn't be that difficult for me to do so long as I'm not chugging down water the whole time or anything. I'd be more concerned about my legs/back/ass on a flight that long than I would be about my bladder.

All the more reason to go for an aisle seat.

Leg room isnt about being skinny or fat. Its about height.

Don't see how which seat I'm in makes a difference with those. The goal in my mind is not having to get up from said seat. Aisle seat would generally mean I'd have to get up more.

On the subject of resisting having to pee, that's also something that comes far more easily if I remain seated.

Generally, its a good idea to get up and stretch your legs for a bit on a long haul flight. Much easier to do if you have the aisle.

i can manage holding it for 16hrs, though i generally dont drink or eat stuff for a bit before and during flights.

dislike the sensation of flying, even if i enjoy travelling itself .

Planes are not suitable locations for someone of my size to do any kind of stretching. I can't even walk down most aisles in planes without having to walk sideways or regularly hitting my head. It's really better off for me to remain seated, and the window seat lets me do that more easily.

Regardless, I don't do "long haul" flights. Never needed/wanted to fly that far.

Fair enough.

I didnt automatically assume that you were large enough for it to be an issue. Im 63 and can walk on most planes without lowering my head so you must be a pretty big guy. My bad.

Secretly the best is the middle if theres two non-obese women on either side of me. Then I have more room to man-spread, whereas with the aisle seat I have to keep one leg out of the aisle.

Less than 2 hour flight > window
2+ hours > aisle

I like looking out the window but if it's a longer flight I want access to the aisle for the bathroom and to stretch my legs a bit.

Short people voting window.

Unless it's emergency exit row, it has to be aisle for me.
I always stretch my legs when there's no stewards going through.

I'm 5'11 and I had enough leg room when I flew before. Guess it's an over 6' problem lol

'Window seat'

If the plane is crashing, I wanna watch.

I also assume the aisle seats get a lot more whiffs of people (and airline attendants) cutting wind as they move past.

I prefer the aisle seat, but I have deferred that to my wife who is unable to do anything other than the aisle seat due to feeling like she is trapped if it is anything else so I now sit in the middle seat. She will only sit in the window seat if it is 2 seats on that side and I am occupying the other side.

Aisle. Ive been on hundreds of planes at this point and dont have interest in seeing 4 minutes of my destination before I land there.

Aisle seat affords me the ability to pee whenever I want without inconveniencing anyone/waking them up and gives me a little more leg room as long as the meal cart isnt coming through.
