2-2 after 2 periods.

I still don't like the charging call that Petey got. He is having a great game.

Vancouver absolutely dominated that 2nd period. Its amazing its just a 2-2 game honestly. At times at even strength it feels like Vancouver is on a power play. They really dominate at times.

The last couple games they have had clearly better 3rd periods. We will see what happens tonight. Edmonton needs to get their head out of their ass.

The refereeing throughout the series has made it really hard to just enjoy the matchup.

Doh. Game winner with 30 seconds left. Once again Vancouver is better in the 3rd period. I thought we were going to OT.

I should chime in here more, I think the majority of the people left the NHL Board after the Leafs were eliminated but it is also Thursday into Friday night. Watching on CBC in wNY and was thinking who I'd take for Overtime hah

Many Canucks fans are morons. But Vancouver is desperate for some sort of championship. They haven't won anything.

Not even the short lived Grizzlies (Professional Basketball for a short while for other onlookers). Sorry for my heavy handed doucheness there but eh I had to bring those pictures back up I had a few more actually. I wouldn't do that, personally, but at least they did make and lose a final. MTL was raging on police cars when they lost in a first round.

And in this current climate I don't find it as funny, but before a 2017. I thought most things were hilarious. Now I am going to overthink and go too far. But a city riot over a sports team losing, still seemed incredible in a comical way compared to what happens more now.

I will go with both closing out tonight though I think the Panthers could lose and then go win in 7. I think the Stars are 100% the better team and will close it out for sure.

OT in Colorado!!

Ohhh shit. Call on the ice was no goal, it stays that way. We play on!

A couple close calls on each end here in the last minute of OT but its going to take a 2nd OT period. Good game. Some pretty good scoring opportunities for being just a 1-1 game.

Dallas looked really good in the first OT. Wyatt Johnston (sp?) has been a fucking beast.

Vancouver has been clearly the better team in the 3rd period for pretty much the entire series. A couple games in a row they have erased multi goal deficits and lets face it the Oilers blew this series they they fucked up a 3 goal lead in game 1.

Vancouver has looked so much better at times looking like they are on a power play when its 5 on 5 and they have the ice tilted and possess the zone for like a minute plus.

Canucks have got it in the bag. Book it.

I haven't been paying attention to the western conference much, but I was really hoping for Panthers vs. Avalanche in the Stanley Cup final. That way the Panthers could avenge what happened to them back in 1996, the original Year of the Rat.

I think Colorado has to seriously push into seeing if they can dislodge a goalie from someone.

Barring significant injuries they're obviously a lock for the playoffs again next year but they can't keep aspirations of another deep run going when they're handicapping themselves in every single series in net.

I do think that the whole Nichushkin thing really shook the team too. =/

But that being said, Dallas had the best record in the west for a reason. They're both excellent teams.

They were 1-2 this series with him and 1-2 without him. I don't really think it would have mattered in the end because Dallas was starting to impose their will on Colorado by that point anyways.

It's kind of funny seeing the cope from Avalanche fans blaming the series loss on their offense "disappearing" though as if this series doesn't perfectly highlight the fact that Colorado's main problem is that they are not capable of consistently getting into and winning 2-1 or 3-2 games.

E: Like Colorado scoring 15 goals in 6 games against Dallas is literally one less than both the Stars and Knights scored in 7 games in their series against each other (they both scored 16 in 7).

Man I had no idea how accurate this statement was.

Just did a quick summary of their series under Bednar:

They're 0-5 in series in which they've averaged 3.0 GF/G or less, and this includes losing a series in which they scored more goals than their opponent over the course of it (Seattle last year). 3 of those 5 series losses are also second-round losses that came after dominating their first-round opponent.

Tampa was 5-1 in such series in their 3 straight Finals appearances alone. Hilariously the only one they lost was the SCF to Colorado, which is also Colorado's lowest GF/G output in a series win.

Really neat stats there for sure.

Also, now all I can think of is the Kings-Knights series from 2018 where the Kings were swept despite Quick allowing literally only 7 goals. What an absolutely batshit insane series that one was.

No goal was the call on the ice for that last second potential goal from the Oilers. Whew

It's too bad they backed into him because I think him being screened and his lack of vision was more of an issue that being backed into. Might have had a chance for that one to go in anyway but undoubtedly it is goalie interference.

Oilers now up 2-1 in the 2nd.

Vancouver has been impressive in denying the Oilers on power plays this series. Edmonton is normally deadly on power plays and hasn't been getting anything against the Canucks. Golden opportunity there to go up by 3 missed.
