What the Russians are doing is irrelevant to the fact that there is a genocide going on in Gaza right now and America is complicit with it. No country should be given unconditional support, treating Israel like we do is absurd.

Just remember that when you're online, you're the target of SO MANY propaganda efforts. They're not all directly opposed to one another, probably mostly they're not. Russia's is a big one and you might remember we did next to nothing to change that since 2016.

Pro-Israel to make less resources go to Ukraine, Pro-Paleatinian to cause a conflict that draws energy and attention from more important matters.

I certainly wouldnt put it past Russia to fan both sides of the argument. It fits their MO to a tee but that certainly shouldnt be used to wholesale discredit an entire side in the debate. Not that it should even be a debate at this point.

There's a lot of effort going into labeling the protesters as antisemites, Russian shills or undercover Trumpers.

The idea that people might genuinely take issue with tens of thousands of Palestinians being killed with the help of the US government, is apparently outright unbelievable to some. It's telling.

There could be russian involvement in the radicalization of protestors to say stuff like "Death to America" and "We are Hamas".

edit: I mean for the ones that do say such things, not all protestors.

Russia is absolutely fanning the flames, even more so online where it's much easier to astroturf. It's working pretty well too. All eyes are on Israel while barely anyone talks about Ukraine, their immediate goal.

This doesn't mean that the people of Palestine should be abandoned though. You shouldn't stop doing the right thing just because a bad actor agrees with you for once.
