Hypothetical:

I hand you a prepaid debit card with a balance of $75,000.

You are given 48 hours to turn the balance from $75k to $0.

The following caveats apply:

When the 48 hours is up, you can have no tangible assets (including stocks) that you didn't already have before the 48 hours started.

You cannot destroy any assets you purchase with the money. So you cant buy a $75,000 car just to crash it.

You cannot use the money to pay down any current debts you have (Mortgage, Credit Cards, Student Loans, etc)

You can only donate $1000 of the money to charity. You can only profit $1000 from any gambling you do, but that money needs to be spent as well.

You cannot grossly overpay for any experience. For example, you cannot go to a restaurant and tip the wait staff $70k just to get rid of the money.

All you can have at the end of the 48 hours is the memories of what you spent the money on.

How would you spend the money?

Yeah, this is easy.

I can not have any tangible assets? Great, I fix my teeth. And I fix my mom's teeth.

After that, I buy a very nice dinner.

Who said anything about overpaying for an experience? $75k for a weekend of debauchery with hookers is fair market price.

Spend it all on a 48 hours blitz advertising campaign for a scam operation/cryptocurrency, wait for the money to roll in from the scam.

If that doesn't count, I guess rent out a big warehouse and do something fun with it.

Ok well 48 hours isn't really enough time to do shit with intangible things so I get some of those high society prostitutes like the ones Tiger Woods was paying $20k a night. Can book same-day first class flights and stay at 5 hotels.

This is a waste of money and not even something I'd do if I could afford it normally but I got no better ideas on how to spend the money.

get a lot of cold weather gear. Hot shot myself and a friend to Antarctica or the Canadian Archipelago. Bribe any ranger-type as necessary for the access I crave with snowmobile/jet ski/ATV/etc. Vibe there for about a day, possibly with some awesome-ass drugs, and then head on home.

Probably plan out and purchase a multiple month long trip around the world with my girlfriend, visiting theme parks and other various sites we'd want to see. We can pre-pay for the flights and hotels and tickets, dinners, rental cars, some sort of house sitter for our pets, and spend as much as the money planning out other things relating to the trip.

I think I could do that in 48 hours.

I guess. Basically how would you spend it if you can only spend it on experiences and not things.

If so, I would probably pre-pay for a few awesome vacations over the next 12 months and spend the rest on home improvement. I'd probably also buy my buddy an Xbox since he sold his in order to force himself to finish some work, but now he's done with it and still hasn't bought an Xbox again.

So you cant do that, because those are tangible.
