First impression - Chang is either a) town or b) godfather begging a scan. There is no way scum Chang who scans guilty, or anyone imo, would have the stones to stan powerful scum that blatantly. Its the kind of role Id see scum trying to save, but in a subtle way.

While I agree with this, sometimes there is a scum playing so poorly that the only person who would dare defend them is a scummate who is trying to drag an overpowered role to night 1.

Chang was even in the last game so he should have been aware of how different knightz felt this game.

But whether it was chang or someone else, I have to feel like wallz and MI were both attempted deflections from knightz. That doesn't necessarily mean town because I could see the logic behind deflecting to a weaker scum role, but probably both town.

The problem is getting a scan that way doesn't even do anything for you since people will apply this exact logic and kill you anyway.

"I'm towncleared by virtue of saying I'm towncleared" is the only message I'm getting from anyone throwing about the word "towncleared" like it was streets.

Well yeah you taught me in bloodborne that there's more to life than poe and scum can do tricky things for confusing reasons :)

I'm not saying my conclusions make anyone lock town. But there's more than a few suspicious people that are worth investigating today.

I mean, yes. Knightz being allowed to flail that much does suggest a certain deep unpreparedness in a scumteam. Dude should've had a fakeclaim worked out before the game was even up with a role that strong.

Right, at least 5 actions, two of his (since the RB wouldn't really count the first time) and whatever else scum has that benefits from repetition.

i assume it goes without saying but the mzero slot is almost certainly clean too. I shouldnt have to say this but i feel like down the line people might decide to be dumb.

Wallz already had some heat just hours into the game. The train on MI kind of just came out of nowhere.

Maybe I'm crazy then because I was starting to entertaining the idea of the taco slot being scum which could not only account for their bizarre actions towards each other (being certain each other at scum) but also the general lack of coordination that would allow for a role like knightz to die day 1.

The Lopen thing is dumb. Lopen is not going to voluntarily make himself disappear on day 1. If Lopen is still alive and just kidnapped or something, Lopen is almost screaming internally at everyone to kill me immediately as we speak.

We have 3 people hinting that their roles will confirm them town. No way all of those are legit

frankly i'd prefer to get the show wrapped up before the 24hr mark actually and end the day just before it. i'm a little scared that the "lopen vanishing" role isn't a one time use and it would be pretty underwhelming if the leading man was taken away before his big moment, y'know?

it's just...i don't exactly have the MOST time tonight so i'd prefer to get the ball rolling tomorrow morning

But the flip side of that is "they were both scum and incredibly uncoordinated" goes against the other logic of "taco knew what a Taunter was because his coordinated scum team told him about it".

So you wouldn't on one hand have a bottom tier vanilla claim caused by poor teamwork and ALSO a good taunter claim caused by good teamwork.

The only caveat would be if taco was scum taunter do he didn't have to fake anything except the flavor. But if the scum team is all "Evil XXX" I don't know which one would fit taunter. Maybe Evil Jeff Winger?

The only game I can remember with a wonky kill mechanic was Psych where the scumteam had a factional poison instead of a factional kill.

You can't base factional kills on time, though. Time based mechanics are very tricky in general. Blade Mafia 5 got screwed up a bit because two people got modkilled before the Indy could submit his action on day 4 and he was basically forced to lose it.
