None of this is in my lane, but yeah pretty much. I couldn't name you 48 other pop stars or 49 other bands so point is kinda moot. I assume Survivor is indeed considered one of the best reality television shows so uhh... Yeah.
Then assume I'm fucking talking about something you are familiar with.

If you ask people to name the best X, Y, or Z, very few people are going to list the factually best selling whatever and call it a day. Very few people are going to have 2010s Call of Dutys and Maddens on their best video games of all time lists. No one is going to name the Macarena as one of the clear best 90s songs. "But it's popular so it has to be good!" Nope.

Third Eye Blind 5 million streams. Mainstream af.

Call of Duty has/had the FPS world in a chokehold. I'm sure many people have the franchise in their greatest games of all time. Same goes for Madden although obviously there's a bit of a monopoly there. Macarena was one of the top dance records of the 90s.

Of course most popular doesn't translate to greatest. Acting as if popularity = bad is ridiculous though. Making trendy songs that most people like is his bag. And he's probably the best rapper to ever do it.

Typing that out felt icky so I feel the need to clarify my restate my initial point which was if he's not in your top FIFTY, you're trolling, not objective, or listen to spoken word with a beat.

Eminem's music widely agreed to be trash since Revival in 2017 lol. MMLP2 in 2013 is the last time he was really relevant. He has 66m monthly streams on Spotify so he hasn't completely fallen off, but he's still a legacy act as those streams mainly come from his older material.

Drake is the most mainstream rapper of all. He's had such a prolific career and he still makes popular music.
Post Malone is probably the second most mainstream hip hop artist after Drake.
I would have considered Kanye to still be mainstream now but he tarnished his image with his antics. He still gets a lot of streams on Spotify, over 70m, but streaming isn't the end-all, be-all metric here.
I guess 21 Savage is someone I'd consider mainstream. 56m streams on Spotify is a fair bit more than Tyler's measly 30m. And he does have several hit singles.

lol now you gotta backpedal to albums XD

an album hitting no 1 doesn't mean very much by itself; you can sell more than everyone else that week, but unless the sales themselves are high, it's not impressive.

name a single tyler album to debut with hundreds of thousands of copies sold in its first week, right that never happened because he's not a huge rapper regardless of how much you cope
