Chrono Plankton
Level: 3
Attribute: Fire
Type: Aqua/Effect
Attack: 300
Defense: 1000
Effect: At the beginning of your Standby Phase, if you have a Chrono Plankton in your hand you may discard it to negate any card effect happening until the end of that Standby Phase. Drawing cards is a big deal in Yugioh. I feel the way I have now is the least broken.

On the surface, it looks pretty weird/niche, but I wouldn't be surprised if you can do some really degenerate stuff by negating all effects in the standby phase. The draw effect is awfully weak, though. Getting three copies of a card in your GY at the same time actually isn't that easy to do. What's more, if you can pull it off and make it to your next standby phase, you're probably not in a situation where a one-card draw is doing much for you.

Overall, I tentatively rate it a 2/5. It's pretty weak in a vacuum, but I'm not gonna discount the possibility of some insane shenanigans you can pull off by negating all effects for an entire phase of play.

Might have been useful like 15 years ago, but at the speed the game goes these days, it's worthless. Barely anything happens in the standby phase anymore aside from resolving lingering effects (which can't be negated at that time) and that extra draw effect is way too slow.

if it has to go on the chain as CL1 at the start of the turn player's standby it wont actually negate everything else, since those other effects (especially opponen'ts triggers and quick effects) during the standby will chain to this and therefore resolve first. if this was changed to be a quick effect the turn player could only activate during their standby phase, therefore allowing them to chain it to the opponent's stuff they want to do during the standby, it would be better.

the problem with THAT is that the opponents would just get wise to the card and activate stuff during the opponent's draw phase, so to see any hope of playability it would need to change to be a quick effect as described above AND be activatable during the turn player's draw or standby phases.

as-is, 0/5. with my changes it's still honestly only a 2 or 3 max, it's still really niche and pretty weak overall.
