A bit, but it was fun. Felt so bad for that rabbit.

I think that's The Boy's thing, trying to find a good balance between absurdity and horror/shock for the sake of dark humor, and I thought that scene was great - running for your life away from superpowered life stock

So, Kripke said that one episode of Diabolical is considered canon, the one with the old lady with cancer.

the rabbit cancer symbiot seemed to be reaching for Butcher. What if, the cancer is a hive mind? Any creature with cancer that gets compound V, will manifest that symbiot thing? Just a theory a game theory.

I guess it kind of falls flat becuase its not like Butchers symbiot is trying to merge with whatver that thing was in that episode of Diabolical, and he killed rabbit-symbiot.

The girl had the same tentacle thing as the rabbit did. Im gonna guess it is a virus or parasite and not V.

for some reason Zoes tentacles seem distinctly different then Butcher, the rabbits and the old lady in that one Diabolical episode thats considered canon.

I am going off memory here but I seem to remember most lab animals are kept genetically similar with inbreeding being common. That could explain the same powers. Plot is the other explanation.

Yeah, I assume that it's just a combination of "rule of cool," convenience, and money. Funnier and easier to do a flock of flying sheep than to do 5 sheep (or animals) with different powers.

Guessing when they were running he took the scientist with him and made it back when the sheep were dying.

Man, what a beautiful and I imagine relatable episode to a lot of people. For some moments during the Hughie and his father plot, you'd forget you were in a superhero gore show. Great writing.

Homelander doesn't realize it but he's still manipulating Ryan. He's going to turn out worse than he did before. Now Ryan thinks he's being righteous and doling out justice when he abuses his powers. I think he's going to end up dead at the end of the series. He's going to be killed for some reason or other. And it lines up with him not existing in the comics.

I thought the farm section was pretty fun. Some of it was silly and didn't make sense though. I'm confused why the sheep didn't just smash through the barn. They seemed plenty strong to do it. Also confused why Neuman didn't just blow up the sheep but whatever. I was wondering why Annie didn't just blast them out the sky either. At first I thought Neuman was shorting out her powers. They fizzled out right when Neuman first appeared and was giving them nosebleeds. Seems like the kind of crazy thing you can do when you control people's blood. But it's probably psychological. Maybe we're getting a Spiderman No More situation.

Forgot to mention I was totally expecting a Monty Python killer rabbit after Butcher released it.

Eh. After his reflection last episode and his desire for change and stop the manipulation, I believe he believes he's letting Ryan make his own decisions. We know that he's not though, and HL can't see it himself because he's a psychopath.

Zoey's tentacles were more Lamprey like than the generic lovecraftian tentacles the rabbit and probably Butcher has.

Hearing them name drop Pigeon Forge was kinda cool. I grew up just a few miles away and have spent a lot of time there. Hell, my parents are hanging out there now

If this Tentacle Monster inside Butcher is responsible for his hallucinations, then it may not be a threat. The visions he has been having are relatively benign, even positive (encouraging him to make amends). It only revealed itself when it's host was in critical danger, and it seemingly hasn't tried to influence his actions before or since.

Could this entity be an actual hero?

I love that Butcher has a soft spot for kids and animals. It shows hes not a complete psychopath. He looked genuinely sad when he saw the bunny he freed was dying

FUCK the ending got me crying. Fuck this show man. My grandfather didnt have dementia, but he did have brain cancer and it was very similar

Tbh, I'm convinced that Jeffrey Dean Morgan's character is also a hallucination. None of the other characters ever interact with him and Sameer seemed confused when Butcher started talking to him.

Butcher stole some actual Compound V from Frenchie and upgraded his cancer to symbiot, tho the Temp V seems to be what initially caused said cancer.

Yeah I imagine the season end will also be a great setup for the final season so it will make waiting hard.

Also I can see why Ryan would go down that path. He is not the one dishing out the punishment. He is just letting the person that was wronged dish out the punishment. I can buy it as a reason he can see it morally ok because he is still just a kid wanting to help even if he doesnt know the right way. Its not like hes surrounded by anyone thats got great morals anyway.

Just finished Gen V. I dont think it is anywhere as good as The Boys, and the teen drama and social media stuff was tiring. But when it got into action, it was really good. Marie had cool powers, and i was wondering if she was gonna start blood bending. Wondering if butcher is gonna recruit them,

The story will take a hit next season due to the actor playing Andre passing away this earlier this year.
