Yeah I know Italy has problems too but it's not as bad as USA and the EU mitigates most of it so if I have to I can go live in Bulgaria or something.

I doubt any programs will start immediately and there's several months after the election before Trump is actually in power so you'd at least have time to flee.

We're all fucked no matter where we go eventually because every single environmental regulation will be removed under the Trump regime and climate change doesn't care about political affiliations.

That's not especially comforting in any way especially considering the massive amount of trans people who don't have that option due either to economic factors or disability.

Unlike many trans people, I am happy to confirm I have a remote job with offices across Europe and Japan. I talked to HR about it and she said I can stay with the company if I wanted to move as long as I go to a country with payroll.

My only concern is the whole idea of what I need to even do first and foremost. Like, when should I see the consulate general? What do I do with my credit cards? What happens with my retirement benefits and earnings? What do I need outside of a VISA? How long does it take to get a VISA? ETC.

Thankfully I have the passport part stamped down. (Which leads to how my passport expires in 2028. What do I do if I am overseas and that expires?) .... Like, there's a LOT to question as moving overseas is nothing small to do. At all. Just happy I do have it as an option.

I do also qualify for the Italian citizenship thing. I think thats a lot of peoples go-to

None. Trump's not going to win the election, and I'll do my damnedest part to make it so, by voting and engaging with others on the dangers of a Trump presidency.

Also I refuse to be a defeatist like a lot people across the country. It doesn't solve anything this country and world is facing. Take a break from social media and the news, if you need it.
