GeminiDeus 03/13/25 8:20:39 AM #1:	I was getting ready to head to work when I heard meowing coming from nearby. A small black cat, looks to be less than a year old, came over to me. I got it water and food, which it ate up completely, then rested on my lap, and I was outside with it for about 90 minutes. It ran inside my house two different times; once bringing food out and the other coming back in just a few minutes ago and has been laying in front of the front door. Now I don't know what to do to help it. I can't bring it inside since I already have two cats who are over 4 years old, and they were already hissing at it, and I don't know if it has fleas or anything else, or if it has FIV or anything. I want to take it to a vet to get it checked, but I don't have the money to be doing that since I have some other expenses already. This cat came to me just two days after I saw a dead black cat at the top of my street which made me depressed. Jiek_Fafn 03/13/25 8:46:56 AM #6:	A friendly almost kitten is more likely to be adopted. So hopefully the shelter will take it from here. Since you can't take it in your home, that's pretty much all you can do here --- I don't believe in belts. It seems loving and lonely, so it could possibly belong to someone, as most of the other homeless cats around here tend to not approach people. I just inspected it a little bit ago and it's missing a large chunk of hair from near the base of its tail. It ate so much that it seems like it hadn't eaten in a long while. Odds are it's someone's pet. Check local facebook groups for missing cats to make sure someone didn't report it missing. Maybe take it in to see if it has a chip. (Do they do that for cats?) And that's 3 adult cats that all have long since been fixed, shots, taken care of, etc Try to get him to a shelter, otherwise it's getting warmer. We took them home and hand-raised them. I checked before I left for work this morning but the box was empty, but by the time my nieces were awake there was waste in the box.
