Unfortunately, the American Civil War is a little more direct in what it offers in the historical narrative. I imagine that youd need to reference material that sparks the kind of imaginative engine to create a game that revolves around the era. Unless theyre going for a story oriented game that has the emotional depth of something like a William Faulkner novel, I cant really say that people would want to invest time in playing a game of that era. There's a mod for Half-life and Half-life 2 for the Revolutionary War and it is so stupid but fun. People have organized more historically accurate set-ups for reenactments. But there's also thrill in the regular death match mode... You get a shot off, miss (because the guns are inaccurate AF), then try to reload for ten seconds moving at 10% speed while hoping the other guy doesn't catch up to you and stick you with a bayonet. It's good dumb fun.
