I don't see how. Is it strictly from the Union perspective? There goes your Southern audience. Is it strictly from the Confederate perspective? Evening_Dragon posted... AC3, but also a civil war tactics game would be rad I LOVED AC3. Great use of the creative license to add a creative and interesting story worth getting invested in. Unfortunately, the American Civil War is a little more direct in what it offers in the historical narrative. I imagine that youd need to reference material that sparks the kind of imaginative engine to create a game that revolves around the era. Unless theyre going for a story oriented game that has the emotional depth of something like a William Faulkner novel, I cant really say that people would want to invest time in playing a game of that era. I cant say game developers would entertain the idea of getting flack from two different groups of people either. --- NP: Lufia 2, FFIV "100 Years of Solitude", "Absalom, Absalom!" https://store.steampowered.com/app/502520/Ultimate_General_Civil_War/ This is a pretty good strategy game. Also, while not entirely about the American Civil war, as it's a global game, but Victoria 3 has events that basically ensures the civil war is fought in some way. Ivynn posted... I don't see how. Hard disagree. Take a game like Hearts of Iron. You can pick any country that existed from 1936 to the end of world war 2. Your character, should you choose Germany, is literally Hitler. I'd play an American Civil War Total War game. I know Empire is kind of in that time period but still over way 100 years too early. I also played North and South on NES but I was like 5 and didn't know what it was all about and thought the horses were giant spiders. FPS could actually be fun. There's a mod for Half-life and Half-life 2 for the Revolutionary War and it is so stupid but fun. People have organized more historically accurate set-ups for reenactments. But there's also thrill in the regular death match mode... You get a shot off, miss (because the guns are inaccurate AF), then try to reload for ten seconds moving at 10% speed while hoping the other guy doesn't catch up to you and stick you with a bayonet. It's good dumb fun. But yeah I'd prefer a game where they don't glorify the south --- RS3: UltimaSuende - CE Thread Zone https://letterboxd.com/BMovieBro/ ... Copied to Clipboard!
