We can't say for sure yet but it may be a bribe to get them to accept American deportees as that's basically what happened with El Salvador.

There's a lot of beef like that in America already. Spoilers it tastes the fucking same as the unbranded grocery store shit.

Beef herds are at the lowest point since like 1950. I live in a very heavy farming state and there were warnings the last couple years that beef prices were going to go very high. This isnt something that will be corrected easily and will take a few years to rebound with the right weather conditions.

Trump is a tool but this is actually a good thing and a needed step. The reality is you need to up the supply to meet demands better and yes a more abundant supply will bring prices down.

While its understandable people are skeptical of everything the guy does this is a logical and needed step that isnt some nefarious grand plan. Argentina is a very large exporter of beef. Only a small handful of places are higher.

I am not saying it's bad. Rather, I'm saying all grass diets & no RBGH don't actually make it taste better. There's one thing and one thing only that affects the taste of beef (besides cooking), and it's fat content & distribution.

This is why Wagyu beef has it's reputation.

I do not think the beer actually helps in any way, I am not sure anyone but Kobe actually does that. It might have an effect on the way the liver tastes but probably for the worse.

I don't think that the improved animal welfare of pasture vs. feedlot is superstitious nonsense. Excessive use of antibiotics also contributes to resistance.

Not using antibiotics is why people keep getting E coli & listeria in America.

Animal welfare is a perfectly fine quality to expect from the agriculture industry, but that's the kind of thing that makes the price of beef go up.

If we raised cows like we did in the middle ages which is what some people seem to want the price of beef should probably be 5x what it is now.

Pay them 20 mil just to buy beef from them.

Not at all. They already let him screw them over once, and they knew how it affected everyone else in the country.

The reason why Trumpm is basically bankrupting the US for this country is because it's run by a neo liberal techbro whose people turned against his party recently due to the massive corruption, his facist like behavior and destroying their economy, the country is pretty much a playground for the wealthy, their president has substance abuse allegations against him as well and while that 20 billion, now 40 billion is suppose to strengthen their own currency in reality it goes right into the president's pockets, he threw a massive concert for himself after getting the 20 billion and Trump has gone out publically to threaten the populace that if they don't reelect him and his party in the upcoming election they aren't gonna get the other 20 billion.

That's reason one, reason two is because a LOT of other billionaires like his buddy Elon Musk, Jeff Benzos, Mark Zuckerberg, Peter Thiel and the Hitler loving guy who hangs out with several supreme court justices and even Mike Johnson at some point all have investment and personal projects in the country.

In short, yet again Trump is looking out for billionaires just like how he's destroying our economy with market manipulation every time he rolls back or announces new tariffs

The most sad part of all of this is that we're going to fail, the only road ahead is a slow fall vs an immediate collapse, the supreme court has to rule on the legality of Trump's tarrifs soon, if they rule against him and say it's illegal the US has to repay all of the money they took in these past months to every single country they put tariffs on, if they rule for him then that's the green light for Trump to slap higher tarriffs on countries knowing he can get away with and do it even more than he has now, meaning the federal rate cuts powell has done will no longer be able to slow the bleeding as it's barely doing now, not to mention that after this year Powell has only 5 months left in his term before he's out of his job and replaced with a project 2025 person and they set the rate to 0.01 percent like Trump wants, which will be our doom.

This is a country that is going to collapse and once it does while Republicans hold all the power, it will not recover, the most likely scenario once it collapses is that they start a war with Canada, Mexico or Venuszula to distract the public and keep the military on their side like what Israel and Russia do to make sure their people never have a chance at rising up against their leadership, also apart of Project 2025, side note, Heseth has already been firing admirals and generals who he doesn't like the physical appearance of as well as service members, so in armed conflict the US starts will effectively be feeding our people into a meat grinder because the ones giving tactics and orders will be fired for brain rotted yes men.

How does pumping the market with imported beef help with herds being low? How does it not just force farmers to lower their prices despite having lower supply, screwing them over in the process?

We have beef here at home. Ease up on the cost of living and lower the gas prices, then we can actually have local beef for fair prices. I would be interested to know how much of it spoils on the shelf and goes in the trash. All I know is I barely eat beef these days and Im down to 136 as of yesterday (at least the recession helped me crush my weight loss goal).
