I'd say my argument against Lea is way weaker than my argument for Chang, honestly. Especially since Chang had absolutely no obligation to call attention to Ben's post.

Just because your role is renamed doesn't mean everyone else's is. You couldn't have known that. No one could have realized that Death's Vanilla role was renamed until FD pointed it out... because they have the same functional role. Think about why Ulti didn't grilled despite full claiming. Or Red. They both claimed power roles that obviously wouldn't be counterclaimed this early. Only Death got prodded for his true, full claim.

So let me ask you this... if FD isn't also a Town Vanilla, how did he deduce that Death was missing something in his claim?

That's the part that hasn't fit for me either. Giving scum a vanilla-izer should mean you've given town an "ability that wants to claim". That could just be any scanning role feeling comfortable claiming before any protection has been killed, but otherwise scum has to try to vanilllize a town power among a sea of actual vanilla?

But that could at least explain the pivot from Corrik to Ctes, especially if Corrik is something particularly good. We'd have stronger reason to doubt the ctes-train runners.
