Was R4 the one with Eye of the Tiger? The movie wasn't my favorite, but EotT rules.

Anyway, it wouldn't count for this topic since it wasn't an 80's movie, but just throwing it out there: 1's soundtrack was way better even considering EotT. The way they combined and hyped up the boxing fanfare with the Rocky theme (which, note, to this point was sad) for the title match is one of my very favorite moments from any movie ever.
Seems like a good reason to rewatch Rocky 1, 2, and 4 again.
I'm actively playing it now. I like so much about it, but I find the addition system leaves me weary after a time, especially dragoon additions.
Fortunately, there are mods that let you toggle auto-complete on, and that's a VERY cozy way to experience it.

In broad daylight? Absolutely. Headlights are only required when there's not enough light otherwise for clear visibility.
This might vary by state. In Virginia you must have headlights (not just parking lights) on anytime it isnt sunny. So even when its bright but overcast, or foggy but the suns out, you'd still need them on. I think its even a primary offense here.

If you're looking to learn the game, the best way is to find people at a store to teach you.
To kind of double down on this, if your local game/comic/hobby shop doesn't publicize folks that have a card night, try asking the owner. They may be aware of a group that would be willing to take on and mentor new players, and you'd also help them understand what kind of local interest there is in a new player night. My local comic shop does a new player night once a month or so.

So if you get an FF deck you can play the game?

Is Magic like Pokmon in there being start decks and then you buy booster packs to make your deck better?
Yes

Rad is such an over the top and ridiculous movie. I hatelove it. The dance scene in some 80s movies are really terrific, but Rad's is a special example above all others.
I am so ready. I'm not even playing anything else right now as a kind of palette cleanser.
I hope you at least saved the shells for composting

Engaged or married? Because when has the guy wore an engagement ring?
I frankly love the idea of both partners getting an engagement ring, and its frankly very on-brand for him specifically.
easy yes. It is not a good movie, but it is fun.

My live action casting for Thundercats

Lion-o: Henry Cavill
Cheetara: Taylor Swift
Panthro: The Rock
Tygra: Christopher Walken
Snarf: Sean Astin
Mumm-ra: Willem Dafoe
If Panthro isnt Vin Diesel or Idris Elba, dont bother making it.
But consider, Jean Claude Van Johnson is simultaneously every role he's ever played after only a quick training montage.

I'm talking about the movie and what the actor did in it. The real Frank Dux has nothing to do with this.

As for Kickboxer he was only in the first one.
Fair

Also, no, he's in both Vengeance and Retaliation

EDIT: Oh, he's playing a different character? Bah, humbug, phooey, etc.
Homesteading has a lot of romanticizing. If you think you'd be into that, go camping for a weekend, and try actually unplugging. It's going to not be for a lot of people.
TheSuperSilver posted...
Frank Dux maybe? That Dim Mak was pretty wild and he knocked out a guy just by looking at him.
Sadly not. Dux was a dirty dirty liar.

His character from Kickboxer, in the sequels, is pretty wild. I'll avoid sharing more to dodge the spoilers.
In that case, so far so good. I remember Thing having a lot of self-loathing, and they've nailed that feeling in the trailer.
Tenaku posted...
Is the Thing's voice good? I need to hear some opinions.
It's *okay*. We need to hear him during clobberin' time. I imagine his voice as being very, forgive me, gravelly, and what we hear in the trailer is not. He also looks a little smaller than I imagine him being. Are they gonna get a second dose of cosmic, hit their final forms? Maybe the perspective is just off, or I'm misremembering him?

Yeah the management and administration of a neighborhood is oddly complex and time consuming. We have 2100 residential homes in ours and there are only 3 of us on the board. Thankfully the president is a great guy and is ridiculously reasonable when it comes to rule-breaking and fines. The first question we ask people is, "Hey is something going on? Do you need help?"

There is so much that happens behind the scenes that residents have no idea about and they won't attend meetings or read newsletters, so they just don't know.

tl;dr -- I am empathizing with you.
My favorite teal deer is the empath ;)

I can't even imagine having that many houses. In our old HOA, it was more like 200, and even that seemed like a lot. So glad to not be in that anymore. We had a handful of retirees that would ride around every Sunday and note violations, and not to ask if the single mom needed a hand power washing her driveway.
Asherlee10 posted...
So far, that is how things can go often enough. But you've got about 15% of residents that ruin things for everyone else. That 15% causes 90% of the problems and are often the reason for HOA rules.
I believe it.

We had our first association meeting last week. At the entrance of the development we've got a renter who is running a business out of the house. They also put up a swingset with ARB approval. One of the older neighbors called them out, and the builder (they've got double POA votes until construction is complete) was like "Oh, that's my rental".
Dunno how I feel about it yet. I'm a big believer in follow the rules and make the changes organically. Only like four of the fifteen current homeowners actually attended, though. That kinda feels bad.
I think it'd be a lot better to go knock on that neighbor's door, say "Hey, I noticed your grass is getting kinda tall, wanted to make sure everything is okay" or maybe offer to cut it for them. I know that doesn't fly in every neighborhood, but I think it would in a lot of them.

Tall grass fosters ticks 'round here, and we aren't allowed to keep chickens, so I intend to keep my lawn pretty well shorn.

Non-American here, does HOA have any legal power to enforce whatever rules they made?
Yes, though some states are far friendlier to the HOA than others.

I was *staunchly* anti-HOA for a long time, because I lived in a neighborhood with almost draconian rules. I have adapted my stance because I see the value in maintaining insurance over common areas, for example. I just moved into an HOA neighborhood, but the rules are fairly sensible, and I fully intend to get on the board and further defang it at the earliest possible opportunity.
All four. None of them came in all the way. The one that managed to make it most of the way out shattered on a peanut one night. Suffered through that on a Friday night until Monday morning. Surgeons said, "Let's go ahead and cut them all out", so they did.

I love Powered Up but I don't have a PSP anymore. I especially like how you can play through the game as any of the robot masters. It sucks that it flopped and we didn't get similar remakes for other Mega Man games.
Yes yes yes yes yes

I need a version of MM2 where you can play through the game as Metal Man. And a Shadow Man on 3? Hey Capcom, are you listening? I'd like to just hand you a paycheck.
Ive never played it, but I listen to the soundtrack regularly

Scoville is based on the number of spritzes of sugar water it takes to "neutralize" the heat in a subject's mouth (can't remember if that's down to "no longer experiencing any heat" or "no longer uncomfortable"), but I do think at a certain point they abandoned counting the spritzes and just applied math to approximate it. Like "this chile has 10000 times the amount of capsaicin as one with a 750 rating, so it must be 7500000 scovilles".
At the inauguration, he claimed that he was going to task his cabinet "and their considerable power" to find ways to decrease inflation.
She was enrolled at a fairly prestigious university (Brown, maybe), so I think its totally reasonable she reduces her workload otherwise to focus on that, so long as she can afford to do so. Early success means she can do as much as she wants and Im sure she will.

Why are small oranges called clementines or mandarins? Why not just call them small oranges? So do we call it something else if it's too big?
Citrus fruit are highly hybridized. You end up with a lot of individual specimens that are subtly different (at least to a layperson). Like a clementine is a kind of tangerine is a kind of mandarin. You can call a clementine a mandarin without being wrong, its just less precise than it could be. And maybe its just me, but since the differences are so subtle, I have a hard time distinguishing between many of the specimens, and I cant believe Im alone in that. So you get a cup of a peeled orange fruit and you call it mandarin oranges and no one really questions that because unless you run a tangerine orchard, who cares?
Maybe they could also ask the porch pirates not to pirate the porches.
Inside Out - Feist (I like her version over The Beegees)
I Cant Live (If Living Is Without You) - Harry Nilsson (there are many others)

Maybe check thrift stores or estate sales? I think it's gonna be one of those "just be lucky" situations.
