Don't buy FoN and don't rush to upgrade the REVOLVAAAAAAA unless you're positive you're gonna need the slow, try to gun for a Deathcap and Lichbane unless you need resists. Also, Hourglass beats Thorny because of huehuehuehuhehue massive shield gen (which is the trick to morde, only build as much resists as you have to because you'll just soak with shield most of the time). Otherwise, good work! You seem to have a handle on how to play the best dude on the game. :P
LeonhartFour posted... As far as moves go, there will be some version of the "Objection!" speech bubble, perhaps as a projectile or even as a keepout move. They've already talked about how they wanted to use that as a move in the past, but they talked about how the extra length in translating the phrase into English was a bit problematic for them.
Maybe he'll throw some evidence as a projectile or something.
I want to see what his Hypers are.
I can only hope one of them is a giant Judge slamming down a gavel, a la the intro to 2-1.

Story please - HGR plays with me all the time, and lord knows I make a ton of dumb decisions and ***** a lot. Must be something HUGE to make him say that.

I think that's a start. Last one in particular is a treasure trove of stuff - a game like, say, Hard Corps: Uprising is a perfect example of what I'm talking about.

^ Same goes for DotA and HoN too, tbqh.
No one would be excited for a new champion who plays like Garen, because he isn't flashy enough for people now. The games keep trying to think of new and more exciting abilities to play around with, forgetting that sometimes all you need is some melee champion who has a bunch of passive abilities, but is still strong, to make him popular :(
Except for the lulz of seeing Rocket Raccoon and Firebrand in instead of, say, Cyclops and Cammy/Dhalsim, yesyesyesyesyesyes. This is a pretty awesome list!

-Tryndamere will be remade to scale slightly less hard into lategame and use Renekton's Rage system instead of health costs, as well as boasting an improved earlygame. -Monkey King next week, called a "sneakier, more active Garen" by Guinsoo. A gameplay preview has gone up for him! -Guinsoo confirms during a Q&A with chinese players that he's working on heavily remaking the jungler and incentivizing players to push. Among the changes are cutting creep respawn times by 40%, going from 100 seconds to 60, as well as making red buff haste you instead of slowing people. This information made people rage so hard Guinsoo had to come in to calm them down and post more than a full Devtracker page's worth of red responses. /stealthbrag
These are topic titles we 100% have used before. For future reference:
Die first, then we'll talk. Do you wanna play? It'll be fun. Take a good look. It's the last you're going to get! If you want me to hit you less, die sooner. Time To Feast! Mundo's ABC's of success: Always Be Cleaving Who wants a piece of the champ?! C'mon, I'm not even holding the controls! Only two jokers in the deck and I got dealt you. Time to Feed! What is IP again? IP is the other kind of points you earn when you play matches. You earn both XP and IP and IP are the points that you use to purchase runes and champions. Yes, thats right, you have to "buy" the champions, but you get the points for free so its not a bad deal. (You can also spend real money on champion packs if you would rather not take the time to earn them) The point is that you get the IP for free so you should figure out which champions you are good with and spend it on those. When you buy a champion you will have it unlocked on your account forever. And if you don't buy ANY champions, you will still have access to 10 of them. Every week there are 10 "free" champions. But they are only free for the week and 10 different champions will be free the next week. And so if you are level 1 you still have 10 champions available to you and so try them out, figure out which one you might like to spend points on and then buy it.
And so IP is good for Champions and Runes. You can also spend *real money* to unlock champions but you can NOT unlock runes with real money, only IP and so runes have to be earned.
To sum up: You have an account that goes up to level 30 (this is your summoner level) You earn XP (to level up the account) and IP (to buy champions/runes) every time you play a match You have rune pages (with up to 30 slots) You have a mastery page to spec (with up to 30 points) (and you can respec as much as you want)
This is probably a bit over-kill and so if something doesnt quite make sense just ask and someone will clarify. And if you are going to start playing please post: (1) Your GameFAQs name (2) Your Summoner name (this is different than your log-in name) (3) Your preferred champions. Its just nice to know which champions people prefer to play or use the most.
And please BOLD THE INFORMATION so we will see it and update the list accordingly.
What is League of Legends? League of Legends is a team game very similar to the WarCraft 3 custom map DotA. There are two bases, one on either side of the map and several "lanes" between the bases along which AI controlled units spawn. An overhead view of the 5v5 map looks about like this:
There is a base in the bottom left, and a base in the top right. 3 lanes connect the two bases and every 30 seconds AI controlled "minions" spawn in each lane. Everyone who is in the game controls 1 "champion" unit and your job as a team is to push your lanes and destroy the opposing base. The lanes are protected by turrets and so you need your own minions along side you to be able to kill the turrets without getting targeted by them. 2 bases, 3 lanes, 5 players per team.
What are Champions? Champions are the powerful units that you get to control. You pick 1 before the map loads and that is the champion you will use for that match. Champions start each match at level 1 their max level is 18. The important thing to consider is the stats of the champion you select will be affected by the level of your account.
What do 'account-levels' have to do with anything? When you create an account you have a level 1 account. That is called your 'Summoner Level'. You are the summoner, and the champion you select for the match is the 'summoned'. You increase your summoner level by playing matches. Every match you play will earn you XP and IP. Earning enough XP will increase your summoner level with the max level being 30. Wins are worth more XP/IP than losses, so try to win ^_^. Your summoner level also determines: (1) How many runes you can slot and (2) How many mastery points you can allot
If you are low leveled still and playing by yourself then the game will try and pair you against similarly leveled opponents, but if you are playing with higher leveled friends then it will seek higher leveled opponents. Just something to consider when you start learning how to play.
That'd be "Imagine if I had a REAL weapon", actually. But eh, whatever works. Anyway, topic going up soonish. I wanted to use JC's quote, but it was too long. :(
Pretty much, yeah. Annie's edge is that with flash, her effective spell range is something like 1.1k or so, which means you have to either stand REALLY far back or dismantle her thoroughly in the very early laning phase to win.
On another note, I should probably set up a new topic soonish. Any ideas for the name? I'm thinking of going with Yorick's profile quote, "Die first, then we'll talk", but I'm open to suggestions.
Doubt it because the nerfs would have to be system-wide. You couldn't allow Nunu, Trundle, Plank, Xin and Udyr to keep their CC because they're limited by speed and a speed buff solves that issue. This idea is almost certainly getting scrapped.
No, it makes perfect sense. We already have something like it to draw from. It's a really stupid idea anyway because it means Udyr, Trundle, Nunu, et al are completely broken while Lee Sin, Wick, and the like get chucked to the wayside, but it's a change that reduces the ability of your lane buddies to gangrape the target, in certain cases. By the way, link to the post where this is discussed?
Gwindor posted... I have no idea what some of you are talking about sometimes. I've always felt like I had no laning presence with Annie.
Here's a list of champions I can think of that can always win a solo lane against Annie. Anivia Ashe Brand Caitlyn Ezreal Fiddlesticks Gangplank Heimerdinger Miss Fortune Vayne Vladimir
These are the ones you just plain can't do anything about. With most other champions, your odds are more fair, but it's never even remotely easy.
You will always lose a 2v1 as Annie. Any two champions in the game can kill you while you're at full health. You can stop this from happening by not walking past your lane's halfway point. But if your opponents have some form of CC, then you're not safe even that far out. You have to play the entire lane inside flash range of your turret.
Same thing applies to 2v2. There have been plenty of times where my two opponents have ignored my ally completely to run in and kill me from full health. If you're ally can't get people off of you, it's the same situation as a 2v1.
The only saving grace I have is that most people don't realize how fast they can make Annie's health drop by playing aggressively. Or they're intimidated by a laning partner they don't really need to worry about.
Sure, you can disintigrate them for gobs off their health, but it doesn't matter when they can immediately kill you afterward. I'm not saying Annie is a terrible laner, but some of you people make it sound like she's god mode.
That list is really bad. Tackling it point by point:
-Anivia wins if she's better. Fire vs. Ice is a tossup. -Ashe wins if, and it's a big if, she can manage her mana very efficiently and poke annie down enough that an ECA+Volley+Crit Auto chain can down her or leave her close enough that she can tank her opening burst before tibbers kills her. The matchup is probably 6-4 in Annie's favor because she punishes ashe much harder for much smaller mistakes. -Brand is...ehhhhhh, iffy. Brand has to be on the ball to win it and HAS to stun annie, but not impossible. I'd say this matchup is 55-45 Annie because she can stun brand more easily. -Caitlyn is like Ashe but easier. She can beat Annie. 50-50 mathcup. -Ezreal is like Ashe, but WAY easier. He has an advantageous matchup against Annie due to creep-bypassing. 60-40 in his favor IMO. -Fiddles loses against annie unless she's super dumb and gets silenced thrice. No way around it, the combo bursts stix down. 70-30 Annie if I had to put a value to it, maybe 80-20. -Gangplank CAN win against annie, but he can also lose. They will most likely ignore each other, really. 50-50 odds I'd say. -Heimer gets punked by annie if she plays safe pre-6. Sorry, but it's the truth when you're a squishy dude like heimerloler! 65-35 Annie, since Heimer DOES have lots of safeish harass. -MF is at a disadvantage against annie up to a point, but it's nothing major. A skilled MF could win it. 55-45 Annie. -lol vayne. A character with no range doesn't cut it. 80-20 Annie, Vayne WILL lose trades. -Vlad is weird. If I had to guess, he wins against Annie, but it's a very drawn-out battle and he has to be smart about the pools. Something like 65-35 in his favor maybe?
But yeah, list is bad. Annie is beaten by tanky men, not squishy dudes. Send a Yorick to face her and she dies horribly for instance.
Crono and Robo are total locks IMO. You need healing, Luminaire is super dumb for damage, Life is nice to have, and they hit hard as hell. Afterwards it depends. If you can swing physical damage Ayla is the way to go for sure, she's just incredible in all fronts except utility - otherwise Lucca is the better choice because she brings a nice, always useful buff to the table, insanely strong techs, and elemental variety.
Jeff Zero posted... So long as we can all agree that Crono, Marle, Robo and Ayla are very good battle-wise.
Marle is super unimpressive outside Lifeline and has zero utility in an endgame setup. Lucca and the other character that isn't Frog have ridiculous Magic power combined with spells that let them be a threat without duals or triples. If I had to pick, I'd rank Robo and Crono top, Ayla following, then Lucca, the spoilers character, Marle, and Frog.
Tom Bombadil posted... It's also pretty impressive how quickly Capcom has lost fan support. It feels like just yesterday that everybody was on their nuts for making Mega Man 9. And bringing back, uh, MML3. >_>
This always happens, fans are a fickle bunch. I'm honestly not too worried. MML3's story is probably not over and CapCom isn't done with the Mega Man franchise either.
Also, the dodge runes do much less than you think. Dodge is multiplicative,so you have to subtract 18% from base, then 12% of what remains, THEN whatever rune dodge you have from what remains of the second subtraction.
How much CDR do you think you're gonna need with a 5 second CD, another 5 second CD, and a 60 second ultimate? Conversely, how much MR can you skimp on when you can win a fight against more or less any melee 1v1?
