Let's do this. The second you mark someone I'm coming with the Q for SPLOSION TIME
I could do that, but I'm not 100% certain on this hotel's internet being perfect. I've only risked one non-bot game so far at this hotel. Are you willing to risk it?
By the way, guys, how is Soraka compared to Sona? I always get annoyed at fighting her because her heals are so powerful and her annoying starcall damage, but I haven't actually tried her.
Way more boring and about as effective. Soraka is very very reactive, but easy to play.

I'm cheering for you guys here. If that lane doesn't knock it out of the park (assuming you ain't up against Xin + Alistar or something lulzy like that), I'll be very surprised. Lemme know how it goes!
Anagram posted... I'm far from the best player around, but doesn't Leona have absolutely no damage? I mean, we're talking Shen-like damage. Sure, she's a huge pain to kill, but after she uses her spells, which all have fairly beefy CDs, she's about as dangerous as a minion wave.
Problem is that she also has completely gross amounts of CC. She just combos almost too well with anybody with a single decent CC because you will pin the enemy down for like four second if you time stuff properly. With Sheen as her first item she also deals really nasty damage with that staggered combo, to add insult to injury. She's a force multiplier and has to be played as such, thinking of her as a Sion or whatever is just plain wrong.
I disagree there. Lux + Lona = "outta my lane *****" because your opposition is so massively outranged AND easy to burst down. Similarly, Leona + Kayle is seriously scary because they combine to pin an enemy down, strike him for massive damage, and remain nigh-unharrassable at any reasonable range. it just requires a little creativity and a jungler willing to babysit bot, which is the hardest part of it.
No, I actually level Q first! I just max W second and make sure to nail the caster creeps with it. This means I get three nearly guaranteed lasthits.
I do not like Leona's farm very much btw. Only played her once but early on she can be harassed. bot by a good ad carry. The problem with Leona is she doesn't fit the meta game very well right now, in the early game at least. Her passive makes her so good in a duo but meta suggests going top.
Anyway need to play her more, but warmogs might be viable on her with all of that armor/mr she gets.
Good thing this means she precipitates a metagame change! It's unused champions that cause strategies to change, so just screw the metagame, find a way to turn it on its head (AKA bully the crap out of that carry and feed your own kills while your jungler watches over the botlane in the pre-oracles phase like a botlane Urgot), and dominate with her. Always fun to blindside people with a new trick!
Gwindor posted... I'm not a super big fan Lucidity boots. It's the most expensive CDR in the game by a long shot.
Any reason to get them over glacial shroud or kindlegem?
Slot efficiency basically. Assuming you start with 9/0/21 and the 6% CDR blue setup, Visage + Reverie or Shroud plus Visage is perfectly workable, I just don't want to waste a slot on even more armor when I could be using it for another warmogs or a triforce.
Biolizard28 posted... Time to cheat until it gets patched, you mean.
I'm still waiting for Siphon to have values that are better than an autoattack. I consider this compensation for the Morde nerfs, and damn right I'm gonna abuse it. What do you think happened with the Double Tempest glitch? Or the super-old Double Rockets?
Oh hey, so the trick to doublecasting got found. If you smartcast conespells really fast, you can deal double damage with them reliably. Time to deal 500 damage with Morde with a singe E tap! :D
MycroProcessor posted... Motoi Sakuraba is my favorite composer! I imagine you wouldn't like him though KCF, because most frequently in my interpretation he's pretty similar to tracks you have expressed dislike for.
Anyways I overall probably disagree with this placement of more of these tracks than most people would, not that it surprises me at all! I guess I like things like unusual sounds, dissonance, chaoticness, and general weirdness a lot, so that's what's putting so much stuff I like so low here (and honestly probably would on most people's lists of the same thing).
Another thing is that I actually really like a lot of stuff like ambiance-focused stuff and minimalism. I find it kind of silly that some people don't really think stuff like that qualifies as music, though it makes sense to me why a lot of people don't like it. I certainly am able to pretty easily find it intriguing enough to enjoy myself. Anyways that's another thing I've regularly disagreed with on this list so far.
Also there's some stuff that I'm surprised hasn't shown up yet given how low some others are, I wonder if any of it will show up as soon as I expect.
Nah, in general the list is very very very very VERY conventional in tastes so far, and not in a good way. It seems to appreciate "video game music" more than either hooks (if the song is supposed to be upbeat/melodic), ambience (if the track is supposed to set a mood) or creativity (if the track goes for experimentation). Basically it's judging tracks like VG pieces instead of musical themes. It's funny because I believe we have very different tastes for certain things mycro (you cherish songs with massive technical proficiency because of the complex interactions between instruments, I do for using their bombast and force to add to a theme's feel), but I think our agreement on the list is due to very similar reasons.
So the game was balanced around circumstances beyond the players' control?
/sigh
I take it we at least got set up to have favorable alliances assuming we took natural moves? Please? For the sake of my sanity? Because seriously, we autolost 1v1s against everybod we could actually fight unless the other alliance sucked way way more than I expect them to, and we couldn't hit-and-run with the gravity pull + frosthax out there. Not sure how we were supposed to win that. :-/
Silver_Ermine posted... KanzarisKelshen posted... Silver_Ermine posted... KanzarisKelshen posted... So...pretty much what I just said, in a different way? :P
Yeah except ranged carries don't go solo lane in my level of ranked unless you are Corki.
(btw Corki beats Twitch)
Mind ellaborating on that? Is that an issue with ranges or just cookie-cutterism?
Because everyone does EU strat now. If you send a ranged carry mid against a caster then that ranged is probably going to lose just straight up.
Sooooooo...people being dumb basically. Right, whatever. I was expecting something about junglers and autoattack ranges being unsafe 'n stuff, but apparently I was wrong!
Yeah, way I'd go about it is probably open with boots, fake out last hits to waste the blast and then Q, then just straight up rush you and drop a QW combo, repeat once, then play safe until tibs. Assuming you were doing a triple pot and boots setup I'd have to land one more Q, maybe two before going for the kill. If you were doing a ring setup I'd just combo once, Q once, then go for the kill. Cass has no edges against annie - it's all on the players there.
So far I've gone up against a Vayne/Corki/Morde/Malzahar/Ryze and none of them could last more than 3 minutes.
Now, I know this has a lot to do with the low elo I'm at, thus why I need to know who does a good job of countering her mid for when I play people that are actually good.
Morde, Urgot, Malzahar if he's quicker on the draw, Yorick, Xin, Jax post rebuff if he's smart...there's a pretty fair list of people really. Just not most AD carries.
LeonhartFour posted... It's just hard to imagine people saying, "Oh yeah, I enjoy listening to Forest Temple. Great song. I just really enjoy listening to the same two sounds repeat themselves over and over again."
Oh boy Leon, you would absolutely love Brian Eno's Thursday Afternoon or Neroli. Some music just isn't supposed to be attention-getting - most is or tries to be, but ambient music is SUPPOSED to stick to the background. It's all about setting a mood instead of evoking feelings or making you think about how cool the melody is, and Forest Temple does its job nicely.
Biolizard28 posted... Honestly, and I know this doesn't mean much since I'm still only level 19, but one thing I always find is that when I'm in a rut in low levels in other games, it's because I'm playing too smart.
No such thing in LoL. If you're doing third layer Yomi while the other team is derping around you'll exit the game with a pair of pentakills or maybe a legendkill. Now, if you mean you get too greedy and stuff then yeah, that can totally happen.
So, fun info leak: apparently, TF's ult is getting reduced to about 5500 range. For reference, that's about two times and three fourths of Nox's ult, or long enough to teleport from second tower to top bush. So...he's basically getting a lovetap. I was totally expecting something bigger than that!

Considering I'm straight up just a better player than you, I'm pretty sure the outcome won't be much different.
I look forward to seeing what all these changes entail for Twitch. He's my main rat so hopefully I can adapt quickly and continue destroying faces :)
You might be surprised! I've picked up a couple new tricks which would make the matchup fun. Not saying I would beat you for sure, but I think it'd be a lot closer to even. Also, not having to blindfire E into the air just guessing where you might be would help a lot too, obviously. :P
I wouldn't doubt it. Twitch is one of the worst solo laners.
Strongly disagree. In a straight up matchup he's bad, but with invis he's guaranteed three hits on the enemy, which is worth a lot if you're good enough to avoid creep fire, like someone I know. At low levels that's about 70-80 damage times three. Then add like...5+10+15 damage from poison stacks, then another hit or two, then ignite, then expunge and you've got the enemy roasted and you're probably still mostly fine at half or quarter health. It's dicey and won't work on an urgot or rumble, but you can certainly bully guys who rely on CDR or are also carries and not Caitlyn out of lane and into backing/dying. Just don't try it on casters is all.

See, you were talking about the conditional targets. I was talking about lane bullying. Cass just can't do the same thing because she has to get into someone's face, while urgot derps at ultra-long range and if the other guy closes in he has a billion tools to guarantee victory. This is why they're not alike: Urgot is ALL about winning the lane decisively, Cass is about farming your core items and laying waste to a teamfight through mad deeps. It's not worth it to compare them. Caitlyn is arguably a better fit, or, as you said, Ryze.
Lopen posted... I don't really care about the new stealth system. Could be good, could be bad.
I'm just glad that they're apparently reworking how Eve's ult works so that on activation it gives her a short term damage shield. Well, hopefully she gets more protection than the crap she has now.
Also, stun. Also, teledash. Also, ward scouting move. Also, midrange poke. Gonna be a good time to Evelynn it up!

Justin_Crossing posted... Wait what? Are they buffing IE?
No, they're buffing Bloodlust. Read what was posted about Trynd: Bloodlust now scales with Rage, both its crit damage boost and AD bonus. So if 100 Rage = 100% bonus crit damage...250% base plus IE + 100% Bloodlust = 350% total multiplier. Which is completely stupid, for sure.
Yeah, cass is basically a one-frame link character, in fighting game terms. Imagine chaining something like 30 moves together with single frame windows, and if you do it you win. That's Cass in a nutshell.
On another note, literally giving a carry ONE FRICKIN' HUNDRED FREE CRIT DAMAGE AND AD. Jesus, what the HELL is wrong with RIOT?! 350% crits with an extra 100 AD. Ridiculous!
Alistar, Sion, Mundo, and Cho are absolutely terrible in their chinese versions. Like...straight-up worse. They tried for an ultra REALISTASTIC vibe and ended up with amorphous lumps of muscle and blandness. That's at least a handful of champs that have sucky chinese skins.
Independent Action's actually so broken it requires rulepatching, funnily enough. Of all the broken things inherent to the grail wars, though, it's probably the least offensive because the guy most affected by it can block it.
Shruikonn posted... Oh. Yeah that's true. Plus having a really powerful ambush might be a balance thing to counteract otherwise low damage or something? Iunno, since I haven't seen the sheet and whatnot.
Assassin has at least one attack that does great damage.
Realo, I invite you to do calculations for a Trist with a 10k loadout vs. a kog. Trist will be hitting for 600 damage post-armor crits against any important target, with nigh-identical AS. Kog will be lucky to deal half as much per shot. You also overestimate the usefulness of bloodrazor: a Rabadon's + Stinger is a much better pick because you get like 2% bonus HP ripping from Deathcap, and actually get CDR and AP to make Living Artillery worth a damn. Kog really, REALLY doesn't want to go into W range until he absolutely has to: with charges having like 650 base range, 700 range is worth jack ****. Most of your damage will actually come from pre-fight poking, not Barrages, against a decent team, because a no-escape carry getting closer than 1000 units to the enemy team is an invitation for ownage. His best build is probably 9-0-21, Stinger, Deathcap, Nashor's Tooth rush, then either Malady, Rylai's, or Guise, Banshee's, and more AS/AP/Onhit items. You need 40% CDR ASAP, and Kog's optimal build is *probably* stacking reductions to MR (Sorcs, Malady, Guise, Abyssal if you have balls like grapefruits) to keep all but the most determined tanks at 0 MR and then blowing people up to kingdom come with as much AP as he can muster, combined with AS. He's basically carry kayle except good and mega squishy now, and should be played as such.
Kog Maw has 10 seconds of Tristana Range Health Per Attack damage combined with the fact that getting 2 attacks per second is laughably easy.
terrifying. Once you get Tooth+Madred you could just build tanky for the hell of it.
Hell, I might build Rylai's just for more AP on the W and health.
Well, yes, once you've farmed 10k on a champion with no farming roids and bad AoE creepcleans you'll be scary as hell. Whoda thunk it?
(For reference Ashe could instead build IE + Zeal and be even scarier at half the price. Tristana would instead build IE + Critcloak and be twice as scary as ashe, and so on. Build Stinger into Rabadons into more CDR instead of razor, malady is also good)
