No, I think that's a bit crazier than mine.

Which one, Judgement Slash? It's not particularly more powerful than Hurricane of Blades, which I will have in due time, whereas yours can generate many extra attacks overall. Though yours should be a minor action to start up, probably. I don't think the idea is to self-stun to use the super, that just makes it flatly worse than using your normal stuff.

Actually, went right ahead and made two supers. Based one on his most notorious kill, AKA Edash, and the other one on his full powerup suite.

Power of the Annihilator
"I'm not a hero. All I am is an executioner."
Super - Primal, Weapon, Polymorph, Rage
Minor Action - Personal
Effect: Until the form ends, you assume the Form of the Annihilator, and roll all damage dice twice and add the results together. Until the rage ends, you enter the Rage of the Annihilator, and gain a +4 bonus to attack rolls. Once during the encounter, you can make the following weapon attack.
Standard Action - Melee Weapon
Target: One creature
Attack: Strength vs. AC
Hit: 10 [W] + Strength modifier damage, and the target is dazed until the end of your next turn and pushed 10 + Strength modifier squares. No abilities can remove this daze before its duration expires, or change the length of its duration
Miss: Half damage, and the target is pushed ten squares and immobilized until the end of your next turn.

Judgement Slash
"All things must pass, even the gods!"
Super - Primal, Weapon
Standard Action - Melee Weapon
Target: One creature
Attack: Strength vs. AC, four attacks.
Hit: 3 [W] + Strength modifier damage, and the attack is considered to be a critical hit. For each attack after the first that hits, double the damage of the first attack, after applying all effects derived from a critical hit. If the first attack to hit is a critical hit, the next attack to hit quadruples the damage instead of doubling it.

Somehow, they seem surprisingly...acceptable. This really isn't too far off from what Valerian does already for Judgement Slash. Form of the Annihilator is a fair bit stronger than his usual stuff, but then again it's supposed to be comparable to his multi-buff suite...and we've never even used the strongest buff. Pretty sure Brona has the stronger tricks here, the super daze aside.

http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/g352/AnagramGF/Zeebs-1.png

Nah, his at-wills are basically chaff. Howling Strike is seriously just a pinch of extra damage and nothing more and it's the better one by far, it's kinda sad that they're so lame.

Anyone know how to make a dual-pistol-wielding paladin in Pathfinder with a 15 point buy? I really like the concept, but I can't make it work mechanically.

Paladins don't do range. I'd play a Fighter and refluff.

Paladins have two different archetypes devoted to range, and being a fighter won't help with dual wielding pistols.

Bonus feats help with pistols, which at the core is what you need to get going.

But what feats will I need to reload two pistols at once? It's my understanding that you need a free hand to reload a one-handed firearm.

None. Use ammo belts.

I've never heard of ammo belts. What are they?

You craft 'em. That's what skillpoints are for.

Oh no, I was certainly to blame for things like messy writeups and letting people decide what they want when they obviously don't know what that is. But I was expecting better from B8 and didn't get it. If I were to run things again, I'd do them very differently now that I know Board 8 has no sense of self-control. Much more strict rules for one.

Maybe different though, like Most Powerful Animal (or teams of animals to make it fair) or most powerful generic video game character (or team of).

I don't know, I'm just craving for a contest like that.

And no I can't run one, nobody would participate because you know, my name has a stigma now.

For your theme the first power is sky blue. It provides amazing amounts of speed. The capstone is quite weak for its role admittedly, but it's a really powerful effect.

EDIT: To hammer the point home, on first reading I thought it said to teleport ten squares around the enemy, for Lloyd. I was surprised when it was the other way around.

The unarmored agility and monk bonus apply while wearing Cloth omega.

yes, i know, i just thought he was thinking of something on top of what i already had. and unarmored agility isn't an inherent monk thing (though it might as well be a feat tax >_>;;)

Oh, we can say it's whatever armor you use. I'm sorry, I assumed Lloyd uses cloth. It's not a big deal.

As for Goddess Speed, I can change that if you want.

lloyd DOES use cloth, but tbh armor choices are fairly meh for monks, but the armor i had helped with saves...though i was thinking of picking up a headgear that would do it better soonish assuming items ever become a thing again)

overall not the most critical of points considering this armor confers additional abilities beyond the normal.

but goddess speed still makes little sense to me. if the goal is to be fast, what does teleporting an enemy prove?

That you can follow, with the right item.

When a monk full discipline power is used, he can activate both the movement and the attack portion of the power in the same action for no cost

Err...what's the point of this benefit, BTW? That Lloyd can make attacks as a move action? Because it pretty much just frees up an action. It doesn't actually do anything on encounter powers, as you can explicitly only use the movement and attack portion once, and it locks Lloyd out of all other Full Disciplines for that turn unless he Action Points. So maybe it allows for an MBA, but that's about it. Or for two at-will shots I guess.

Omega, you don't seem to be in the chat, so I'll post this here.

Robes of the Goddess

Cloth Armor
+1 AC for every five levels of wearer
+1 speed for every five levels of wearer

0-5
Nothing

6-10
Throw Off Weights
Daily-Martial - Minor
+1 speed gained per round for five rounds, remains until the end of the encounter

+2 acrobatics
+1 reflex

11-15

Momentary Focus
Encounter-Utility - Free
When a monk full discipline power is used, he can activate both the movement and the attack portion of the power in the same action for no cost

+2 athletics
+1 will

16-20

Goddess Speed
Encounter-Utility - Free
When the monk hits a target with a daily power, he can teleport the target anywhere up to ten squares from its location (not into the air or into another object, smartass)

+2 endurance
+1 fort

Also, no penalties? Artifacts strip stuff you'd have without them away from you as you hit 1-4 and 0-minus infinity concordance. And it needs the chart of booster actions.

It's not teleportation, it's movement so fast that it seems like it! Please, get with the program. By the way, the program is anime.

Anyway, what do you mean you don't get extra AC? I thought Monks got an AC bonus for wearing cloth.

i get that (and there is a power i have seen that does a similar thing). but...this isn't teleporting lloyd, it is teleporting an enemy. like...as if lloyd was a controller. which he is not. it just struck me as super odd, especially when a monk generally wants things near them too.

and what do you mean bonuses for wearing cloth? if i got one, then i would already have that bonus.

Not sure which power you were thinking of, but War Wizard's Staff does it in a single feat.

And under that logic, why not just add to Brutal Barrage 'this power can't gain a damage roll or benefit from bonuses to damage rolls'? Once your primary concern is balance and fairness, why stop at only slightly askew rulings?

There's legitimate fun to be gained from making Brutal Barrage gain damage from tapping vulnerabilities and extra damage. The idea is to balance, not nerf.

It's not strictly at-will because you need to augment Brutal Barrage, but I agree that that's an issue. The legality of something shouldn't be decided by how convenient or inconvenient it would be, though.

Plus, there's still player sanity to consider. I mean, it's trivially easy to allow Brona to inflict infinite damage with Lightning Field, but no one sane would do that.

Actually, it isn't all that easy, IIRC. You'd need to have Phantasmal Assailants, or else it's just a ton of damage but not infinite. I disagree on that, though - you should make whatever decisions allow for a healthier game, honestly. Just because WotC isn't willing to waste $$$$ on clarifying some rules doesn't mean we can't make sure things don't break horribly.

LoL being free, dumbed down, better advertised, and better managed killed HoN. And now there's DotA 2 which will be free. And oh god the Brazillians in HoN.

I'm not sure which part of this post is worst, the racism, the ignorant smacktalk, or the misinformation. It manages to be wonderfully terrible all around!

A shame, but fair enough.

In other news, my month of DDI subscription is about to run out, and I'm indecisive about what to do about it. On the one hand, the online builder is kind of inconvenient and occasionally terrible. On the other hand, updating the offline builder is a pain that I never got completely worked out. And DDI also offers that compendium, which is very nice. On the other other hand, I'm cheap.

Hmm.

Solution: Use the books like a sane person with way too much free time does!

PS. On an unrelated note, you might wanna take a look at the Champion's Ring guys (google it, it's in a preview from an adventure). It's...quite a thing, really.
