Although GOD DAMMIT this should be the end for both of them. That's it. There's no other Triple H match that needs to be done, and the only other Taker match you can possibly sell is vs. Cena at WM.

Anyway, amidst all the roster-thinning Big Show recklessness, I want to mention that I'm completely sold on Trips vs. Taker HiaC.

They found the one premise under which that matchup still legitimately has to happen.

Now if we can just pretend the HiaC PPV never existed and say that the last real HiaC match was at Summerslam '08, then we're good to go. <_<

So I just realized

Taker and Triple H aren't really the "last of their generation" with Big Show still around. Triple H debuted in 1994, Big Show in 1995. Unless 1994 is THE END of the old generation or something. All you 1995-present guys can go to hell!

I'm VERY positive that he'll re-enter the main event scene eventually. By no means do I think he's Swagger V2.

But you see that cadre of Laurinaitis backers? That's a bunch of more established guys fighting for Bryan's spot!

Remember, this main-event run is really premature to be honest, given how long he's been with the company.

Watching both gifs again, notice on the botch that Orton never even BEGAN to kick his legs out (compared to the one that hit). That only re-enforces in my mind that he thought Show was supposed to shove him off.

I dunno, Big Show took the bump for it at least! It was clearly some miscommunication somewhere, Orton clearly wasn't under the impression that that particular RKO was supposed to land, while Show assumed otherwise.

And then there's that awkward period where they're trying to come up with an on-the-fly finish while still giving Bryan a proper cue to interfere.

WWE.com says:

"Orton's condition will be re-evaluated on Feb. 27– two weeks after the incident took place."

So he won't be wrestling this week but they've given themselves an opening to bring him back as early as next week's Raw so they must not think it's TOO serious.

But that opening does not fit into the Super SmackDown window.

Correct, unless you want to watch the same show twice. The one on Tuesday will re-air on Friday (and DVRs probably won't catch the Tuesday one so if you're not watching live and don't want to wait for Friday make sure you set it accordingly)

Well as MMA takes more of a grip on pop culture I wouldn't expect choke submissions to be treated as illegal. Just blatant "hand crushing the windpipe" choking which is illegal in MMA as well.
