From: Leebo86 | #008 yeah, if you won't look for a job there tend to not be many people willing to hire you
I meant from a legal standpoint. Maybe it varies by state, but here in Michigan (at least when I was a teenager), you had to be 16 to legally get most part-time jobs, with a scant few exceptions.

From: Big Bob | #007 What she was going through seemed fairly typical for a teenage girl. I'd say he was WAY overblowing this.
Meh, it was a second offense. She had the chance to learn her lesson.
I would never MAKE my high-school aged kid get a job during the school year, and I would still give them a modest allowance for doing their chores (like maybe $20 a week), but I would definitely tell them that if they want luxury items beyond what they can save up for that way and with birthdays and Christmas that it's on them to find a way to pay for them.

I agree that the vast majority of that was warranted, and if she wants luxuries like that she needs to find a way to pay for them herself, but IIRC employment options for 15-year-olds are fairly limited, aren't they?

I was gonna say the same thing. I think the top 4 should go Lohan/Britney/Miley/Vanessa, unless Britney is getting credit for being (relatively) stable recently, and if that's the case then she and Miley swap but she still doesn't fall below Vanessa Hudgens.
Nude photo "scandals" beat most of the list, but aren't nearly enough to top those other three. You could even make a case for Demi Lovato over Hudgens.

From: azuarc | #022 It's probably in your favor. And on the bright side, if things work out, you won't have to work to remember your "twelve month anniversary" nor will you get hit twice for it.
...wouldn't that be a legitimate anniversary?

Although to be fair, I was 15 and rapidly escaping the target demographic by the time Sabrina the Teenage Witch started airing. I only remember seeing maybe a dozen episodes.
Clarissa hit right during my formative preteen years, and even being a male I loved the character and the show.
Oh how I loved SNICK.

I laughed. <_<

Of course, there's nothing stopping all three contestants from adopting this strategy, turning the speed-up round into the Mexican standoff round as they scrape their way through the bottom half of the alphabet.
I want to see this happen now.

Chyna didn't last as IC Champ for very long! 8 days later on Raw, this incredible sequence happened:
Also, Al Snow captured the European Title from Perry Saturn on the SD following Summerslam.
Miraculously, Blackman never lost the Hardcore Title between Summerslam and Unforgiven!
WWF Champion: The Rock Tag Team: Edge & Christian Intercontinental: Eddie Guerrero European: Al Snow Hardcore: Steve Blackman Light Heavyweight: Dean Malenko Women's: Lita

From: edwardsdv | #363 I mean think of it, that Eric Young is even a problem is kind of a good thing. That means they even bother investing time into angles for their tertiary jobber level titles, while in recent memory WWE has gone months without anyone defending the US or tag titles at all.
Eric Young hasn't been near the TV Title since November.
THAT'S how badly they've botched the TV Title.

To be fair, most people that were around in Andre's time say that 70's Andre >>> '80s Andre when it comes to quality matches, but sadly not a ton of '70s Andre footage is out there.

From: PrivateBiscuit1 | #358 Oh, and the reason that I can't take TNA seriously at all is because of what a complete and utter joke it was when the Hogan regime came in. When I died laughing watching that god awful TNA PPV that ended with the pit, I just can't get past it. There is also the Jeff Hardy vs Sting thing that happened to which I can't really take seriously at all.
Like, WWE has stupid stuff like the Fartalya crap and their bad shows, but they aren't so laughably awful like TNA gets. TNA just came off as such bush league inferiority, so I can't really look past that.
They're only 2 PPVs away from having gone a whole year without any of that nonsense! <_<

From: Rad Link 5 | #355 Also Eric Young's existence. And the fact that I feel like by just watching TNA, I am contributing to the broken lives and early deaths of people like Jeff Hardy, Kurt Angle, and any other former WWE top stars who join them.
How ****ed up must Matt Hardy have been for even TNA to say "...we're done. Go get yourself some help. You're too much of a wreck for us."

But to TNA's credit, it's not just Roode. They've built Aries strong, they've built Gail Kim strong, and they've even created a compelling Tag Team title feud in a company with no tag teams.
They spun THREE DIFFERENT ANGLES off of that Wild Card tag team tournament (Joe/Magnus gelling as a team, AJ/Kaz rift, EY/ODB relationship), and furthered a fourth (Abyss/Immortal). That's not just good booking, that's GREAT booking, even if one of the angles is a poor attempt at comedy.
If you just ignore the fact that they have no clue how to use the TV Title (it seriously is the least prestigious title in wrestling right now, even less so than the Knockouts Tag Titles), they're otherwise on an awesome roll.
And shock of shocks, it all began when Russo took a backseat in creative.

That might be premature, Elimination Chamber is only 7 days later, I'm willing to give WWE their rebuttal.
They haven't burned off their awesome cred from TLC just yet. If they botch that PPV then it's gone, but they haven't had 2 bad Chamber matches in the same night ever yet!
We may very well be living in some bizarro world where WWE puts on the more consistently decent in-ring product but TNA has better, more logical booking.
--
Thank you, Eddie Guerrero. http://bryandanielson.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/photo3.jpg
And yeah, I daresay that TNA has the incredible distinction of being arguably better than both WWE and ROH at the moment.
IMO all 3 are very close, WWE and ROH both having good stuff counter-balanced by horrible stuff, and TNA just being consistently solid at all things non-Eric-Young-related.
The next 3 PPVs are key. Against All Odds, Elimination Chamber, and Tenth Anniversary Show. Whichever company delivers best on their next major show is in the lead heading into March.
EDIT: A tie goes to ROH since their show is only $10. <_<

With all the talk about WCW's comparable product, here's what ECW was cranking out at the time:
Heat Wave 2000 * Sal E. Graziano (with Tony Mamaluke) defeated Balls Mahoney (1:39) o Graziano pinned Mahoney after a Belly to Belly Suplex. * Kid Kash, Danny Doring and Amish Roadkill defeated Simon Diamond, C.W. Anderson and Johnny Swinger (11:03) o Kash pinned Swinger after a Money Maker. * Jerry Lynn defeated Steve Corino (with Jack Victory) (15:25) o Lynn pinned Corino after a Cradle Piledriver. * Chris Chetti and Super Nova defeated Da Baldies (Tony DeVito and Angel) (4:39) o Nova pinned Angel after a Tidal Wave. * Yoshihiro Tajiri defeated Mikey Whipwreck, Little Guido and Psicosis in a Four-Way Dance (9:17) o Guido pinned Whipwreck with a Bridging German Suplex (1:36) o Tajiri pinned Psicosis after a Dragon Suplex (4:28) o Tajiri pinned Guido after a Brainbuster onto a steel chair (9:17) * Rhino defeated The Sandman to retain the ECW World Television Championship (8:39) o Rhino pinned Sandman after a Piledriver onto a steel guardrail. * Rob Van Dam (with Bill Alfonso) defeated Scotty Anton (19:02) o Van Dam pinned Anton after a Van Terminator. * Justin Credible (with Francine) defeated Tommy Dreamer (with Jazz and George) in a Stairway to Hell match to retain the ECW World Heavyweight Championship (14:58) o Credible pinned Dreamer after a That's Incredible! onto barbed wire.
I had personally given up on following ECW regularly after their May PPV, because I disliked their product that much. I bought their next PPV (this one) two months later just to see if things had gotten any better or if this PPV was the launching pad for anything better. It wasn't. The rest of ECW's existence after this PPV until it dies in January is actually completely foreign to me, besides knowing about title changes.
The only time I've EVER abandoned a wrestling company. Good work, Justin Credible!

I just liked it because Jericho was saying that he was the Best in the World, and that CM Punk wasn't, so all Punk had to do to prove him wrong was hold up the title. Punk cares about making the title meaningful, and it being representative of being the Best in the World, so it worked for me.
And that's why Jericho's mocking response at the end of the night worked too, because that was his way of saying "If this title means that you are the Best in the World, then it belongs to me already."

"Okay dude, so the plan is, you come out pandering to the crowd, then you get your ass kicked for 5-10 minutes, and then at some random point, just stop feeling pain and point at the other dude. Then you've got him right where you want him, brother!"

I think Garrett Bischoff vs. Gunner is the most likely result of that nonsense, with Hogan and Eric in their respective corners.
The idea of Hulk Hogan training someone to wrestle is kinda amusing though. If Garrett tries to wrestle the match with a totally Hulk Hogan style, that's gonna be pretty funny, actually.
Also it will be funny if he busts out like a moonsault or something and Tenay is like "Hulk Hogan taught him that one! Wow!"

Well, Roode vs. Hardy went to a draw, and Storm has #1 Contendership, and Bully Ray is in there...I guess because Sting is honoring Roode's promise of a title shot for him? Ray really doesn't belong from a kayfabe standpoint but he'll add to the match tremendously so I have no issue with it.

In non-WWE news, Against All Odds is shaping up to be a high-quality show on paper.
Roode (c) vs. Hardy vs. Storm vs. Bully Ray Aries (c) vs. Shelley Crimson/Morgan (c) vs. Joe/Magnus Kim (c) vs. Tara Styles vs. Kazarian Ion vs. Sorensen
With still one more Impact left to add another match or two.
