Sorry to hijack your topic, but can anyone tell me where I should go to level up once you get Soarrie stone? I'm going around the map looking for an opportunity to get stronger but most stuff wrecks my shit immediately. I am on Hard, but I think my teams are built reasonably well, it's really a matter of attacks doing me in with 1 or 2 swings so no room for error. But i have high level Pictos equipped and reasonable defense stat investment.

Frozen Hearts, then Dark Shores, then Renoirs Drafts, in that order. Note that the last one is a huge jump from the first two, or at least it was on Expert. Killing all the enemies before they get a turn was easy in the first two places, but not Renoirs Drafts.

But the merchant in Renoirs Drafts is the best grinding spot in the game if you get Maelle to the point she can one shot them (pretty easy to do if you lower it to Story for grinding them back up to whatever difficulty you use when done grinding).

That many episodes was a TV thing, and most of them ended up pretty villain-of-the-week rather than a story arc. Its a barrier to rewatching honestly.

Im a huge fan of Highlander: The Series, but I know the first season or 2 will seem pretty filler-y if I rewatched now.

This. There is a massive cultural difference.

Most countries had centuries of history before guns were even invented, some of them over a millennium.

Meanwhile in the US, guns were intrinsically tied in from the colony / frontier days as the settlers used them to hunt their food, protect livestock, kill the natives, etc.

Most first world nations also actually take care of their citizens, so people dont really have a reason to commit suicide by cop and lash out at the world in the process.

You can argue that its on Nintendo for banning the system even if the system gets factory reset because that means anybody who buys the pre-owned system gets screwed too.

I fault them for monitoring the system itself rather than an online account, but thats IMO less egregious than doing it for game copies.

If your system gets banned, you may be on the hook for another system.

If they start banning every game copy thats been backed up, you may be on the hook for buying all your games again.

If they ban your account it depends. If the dont tie game copies to your account and all your games are physical, it shouldnt cost you anything but the time to make a new account. If they tie game copies to your account and making a new account means you cant play your physical copies anymore, it means youre on the hook for everything probably.

The point is if you give Nintendo an inch, theyll be as draconian as possible. Theyll tie it all up so you can just lose access to everything on their whim.

Whats the difference? Both cases still dont allow the customer to use the item the way they thought it would. And I believe accounts do get banned for that on every platform if it goes through, yes, but to my knowledge banned systems simply cant access online at all.

If you buy a banned system and cant get online with it, Nintendo didnt fuck you over, the seller did, because they knowingly sold you a banned system and Nintendo shouldnt even be able to reach you.

If you buy a used game and playing it gets you banned, whatever the prior circumstances, Nintendo fucked you over. You could simply argue that the seller also fucked you over if they knew their prior actions would cause Nintendo to fuck you over.

If you buy a bootleg game and didnt know it was a bootleg, again the seller fucked you over, but if you get banned for playing it, Nintendo also fucked you over.

Ah yeah, I remember that story. The guy bought a game that he didn't know the seller had made a pirated copy of, the system auto-flagged it when both copies were being played online at the same time, and all it took was a quick call to customer service to explain what happened and he had his account back the very same day. It wasn't just because he bought a second-hand game, that's a reductive and misleading framing.

The only reason I got one as soon as I could was because I figured that like its predecessor, the early models would be much easier to exploit in order to dump my legally purchased games for emulation.

People always debating about Dragon Ball Z characters. Toriyama largely wrote one dimensional characters and was mostly a writer of gags and puns. Dr. Slump is just crammed with gags and puns, poop on a stick, a man who "flies" on a skateboard named Suppaman (Sourman), one of the villains is his editor.

Toriyama was a master at paneling too, but hes, he was never really a good writer.

The reality is DBZ has always been unjustly put on a pedestal due to being the gateway into anime for so many people. Its not bad, but its not the GOAT people act like it is, and never was.

The problem is the Goku / Chi-Chi relationship in the first place.

In DragonBall, it starts out with Bulma wanting to find the Dragon Balls so she can wish for a boyfriend. She has an on-again off-again thing with Yamcha throughout the thing because Goku is 5 years or so younger.

Gokus first interaction with Chi-Chi is basically all gags, and I think he may see her literally one other time as an adolescent, where she asks him about a bride and he thinks its food. Thats it until the 23rd Tenkaichi Budkai, where he marries her because of that stupid bride is food gag and says hes in love with her. Its the dumbest romance of all time.

Meanwhile, after going on lots of adventures together, when Bulma sees Goku after his growth spurt at the 23rd Tenkaichi Budkai, she blushes and is visibly attracted to him. As far as Im concerned, Goku and Bulma should have gotten together then. Bulma doesnt have to give a rats ass whether he has a job or not, and shed have built him training aids and all sorts of shit. Plus Gohan being as smart as he is makes a lot more sense and shes in a much better position to help him with that than Chi-Chi was. Could have had a Gohan in some kind of mechanical battle suit or something. It just works a lot better on all fronts, and is a lot more believable.

The only good thing to come out of the Goku / Chi-Chi romance is the gag that is Gohan. Goku and Chi-Chi both basically speak with a hick dialect in Japanese, and the joke is that Gohan speaks with a very proper and formal dialect to contrast them.

Nintendo has done some voodoo with the battery. A full charge lasts weeks for me. I have to charge my PS5 controller every other day.

Its been like that since the Wii U one at least. 80 hour battery life ever since then.

Cracker Barrel is one of the better places for breakfast, and thats all I order there. We go there any time we have a doctors appointment over where the nearest one is.

Ive been pointing that out for almost a decade in physical vs digital debates, but the reality is most physical buyers dont know that. As long as your internet wasnt down when you tried to install the game and play it for the first time, youd never really know. If the internet goes down after youve installed it and downloaded the rest of the game plus whatever day 1 launch update(s) makes it playable, how would you even tell?

People wont really learn this until another few decades have gone by and the servers have been taken down. Then and only then will they realize theyre in the same boat as digital buyers without a local copy, and then and only then will they raise hell.

Its certainly another reason for that, but there were a number of them already:

1. Nintendo hardware is much weaker than competing hardware, meaning worse graphics and much more importantly lower frame rates
2. Nintendos platform is much worse than competing platforms
3. Nintendos online infrastructure is much worse than that of its competitors
4. Nintendos platform lacks achievements (if Im OCD and Im going to do all that 100% completion stuff anyway, I ma6 as well get credit for it)
5. Nintendos platform is more draconian than competing platforms (especially Steam). My friend had to call Nintendo support to play his Switch 1 shit on his Switch 2 because he didnt do the wizard transfer so his Switch 1 was still the primary console or some stupid shit like that

Im watching season 1 of the live action now. Its much better than I ever expected it to be (I dont see the point of live action anime adaptations period, as the entire appeal of animation as a medium is that it lets you do things live action simply cannot).

But it still pales in comparison to actual One Piece. I doubt the live action will ever get to the high point arcs like Water 7 / Ernies Lobby, much less where were currently at now, and if they do, the actors will be geriatrics.

He probably means that GKCs are motivated in the first place because theyre cheaper to produce, and larger games wont fit on regular SD cards, so if companies have to buy bigger cartridges with more storage, theyll charge more. But its a stupid point because GKC is literally digital with wasted space in your house added on, so you may as well buy digital instead.

Im on PC, so I have access to the best current versions and mods etc. Thats not really a concern of mine, Im just saying if they do an actual remake Im Cold Steel 1 and 2 or something.

Id say its only useful insofar as a lot of classic literature references it, so you need to read it if you really want to understand literature better.
